See THIS THREAD (post #9) for what to put in the particulars of claim.
Thanks Rex, I'll use what you posted in there, quick question, Do I need to recalculate my interest from today or just use the amount of interest I've stated on my original letter? Also, how do I calculate the rate of daily interest?
Many thanks

Recalculate the interest up to the date you issue the court claim.
To work out the daily interest, multiply the amount of charges (with no interest added) by .00022How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Thanks to https://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk for the following............
State first of all that you do not believe the case will last longer than one hour.
Then use something like this..............
I am respectfully requesting that my claim be allocated to the small claims track. This issue is not a complicated one; it is an issue of fact and not of law. The issue is only whether the money levied by the Defendant in respect of its customer’s contractual breaches exceed their actual costs incurred. I am happy to pay their actual costs and I am surprised the Defendant did not counterclaim for these, because I would have paid them without argument.
However, the continuing problem is (in common with the 100s of other cases currently being brought by other bank customers) that the banks refuse to reveal the details of their penalty-charging regime. As the banks have a fiduciary duty towards their customers, they have a duty to deal straightforwardly and in utmost good faith.
Accordingly, I would respectfully ask that the court in this case, not withstanding allocation to the small claims track, order standard disclosure. I understand that it is in the courts discretion to do so. I believe this would bring a rapid end to this litigation. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Hi
I have sent the first of Martins standard letters to Nat West asking them to list all the charges over the last six years ect:
however I closed this account nearly 12 months ago because of the charges they kept applying on this account, I also had and still have another account held with them, I just transferred all my standing orders over to this account
Nat West replied saying that the account No and Sort Code is invalid ?
So the question I have is can I claim for this account that is now closed ?
any response would be appreciated before I write back to them
Many thanks0 -

Sorry to steal the thread slightly, but I have my Natwest bank account, but not sort code (sure I could get hold of this though). However, I entered into an IVA last September with Natwest as one of my creditors iro a £1400 overdraft. Can I still claim back charges? Also, as I didn't keep any of my statements, if I write and ask for all charges going back 6 years, will they provide me with them?0

Ok so my moneyclaim form has been issued!
. Wish me luck (Massive thanks Rex for all your help).
Just so I know, they get 14 days to acknowledge receipt and then a further 14 days to do something about it once receipt is acknowledged? Or is it 28 days once receipt is acknowledged?0 -
Hi all,
wondering if anyone can help, possibly Rex if they are online ?
Just added up my charges and they come to £2176.00. I used the mse calculator to work out the interest whic added on £334.47.Total £2510.74.
What I need to know is can I add the amounts on my statement that say eg
31 jan 05 Interest 02jan a/c xxxxxxxx 68.71
I have a large list of similar fees on a monthly basis, all listed on one statement.
I havent had a statement for ages, couple of years about ,and a bit suprised to see still getting charges added on .
Thought the account had been closed down as I requested that all future transactions etc be cancelled and the account closed way back in 2004.
Am I also able to claim the interest that has been added on to my unarranged o/d and if so ,how do I work it out eg arranged o/d £3100 but balance currently £6100 o/d, therefore can I claim the interest back on the unarranged borrowing of £3000 because Natwest are hammering the interest on ?
Sorry for being such a numpty but I am so struggling to get my head around all this.Sorry in advance if this has been asked before too.If it has can someone please point me in the right direction so I dont annoy you all ?
Many many many thanks
