A few more tiles to be laid, grouting to be done, door trimmed, lights to be fitted, shower curtain, shower rail to be installed and thats about it......

Oh and spend about a week getting rid of the dust............

andrew b the frame was fitted as there was no way to cut the cistern in to the way (I don't think the neighbour would have appreciated having my cistern in her bathroom ;o)))), )

    Geberits dont fail!!Unless incorrectly installed

Fitted 70+ in the last 5 years and have not had a single failure

All internal fittings are accesable from flush plate and are all tool less

Those wall hung toilet frames look like a quick way to get the loo installed must be easier than faffing about with l-shaped brackets bolted to the floor and standard pan connectors. I hope your cistern is plumbed in properly and doesnt leak at any of the pipe connections as it would be awful to have to rip all the tiles out to access or are some of the tiles only held in by silicone? I know you've got some degree of access to cistern innards though. Maybe i'm just too pessimistic though :)

Like the basin and vanity unit - somewhere to put the coffee cups and shopping lol ;) Still it's now worlds apart from the old wreck of a bathroom you had!

Much more to be done to finish?

  • I'm loving the basin unit, v swish! Nice choice. I like the look of wall hung toilets but couldn't have one myself, being on the lardy side myself, I'd feel like I couldn't sit on it properly in case it fell off the wall! I've been to a few hotels with them and felt uneasy lol

    But it looks fabulous!
  • Most definitely agree! Bathroom is looking fab!

Quick question...if I've interpreted your piccies correct, you hacked old plaster back to brickwork and then put up a new stud frame with batten over which you fixed hard backer board anf then finally tile.

How's it worked when hanging basin and pan etc?

Did you put studs in place in advance in the correct places?

Wow, I'm so jealous! :D We looked at a very similar vanity unit and basin, I loved the large flat sides on the basin. But our bathroom was just too small to take anything that wide. As it is the basin we chose just overhangs the edge of the bath. Oh well, it's nice to see someone I know (if only online ;) ) has the space for it! :j
  • Your sink and vanity unit is very similar to our new one, although ours is cupboard rather than drawer :)

I must ask, where did you find that dragon??

Brighthelm Stone near Brighton, his name is Brighton as he is a copy of a dragon that adorned a house in Brighton.
