1. You will receive offer/£ just before the date.
2. You calculate the amount plus interest up until your date of claim then multiply that by 0.0026 to give you the daily rate since then.
Did you send your court bundle in? If you don't send that in, you might get your case dismissed. You have 21 days from when you got the court date.
Take a look at this thread

It will help with this step.
Good luck, nearly there
Louloujs, I wonder if you can help me, or anyone who might know? I've also had my claim transferred from MCOL to my local court, just waiting to hear from my court. What did you mean by court bundle, is that the allocations questionnaire I keep reading about? Do you normally received the 'court bundle' when you get your transfer notice from MCOL or from the court it's been transferred to?
Also, not meaning to come across daft, I've been doing the sums to work out my interest up to now. The total on the date I submitted my claim was £2076 with interest, I've multiplied that by 0.0026 then multiplied that total by the amount of days since then (42), amounting to approx £226 more interest up to today. I wondered what you thought the chances are of claiming for the interest in between the date my claim was submitted and the date I receive an offer/go to court.
Sorry it's a bit long winded:o0 -

HI,
I've recently sent off my letter to HSBC asking them to repay all default charges totalling £1378 and asking for a full response within 14 days.
However I've not had a 'full response' I received a letter advising me they are looking into the matter raised and will contact me with a full response as soon as they have completed investigations. They also enclosed a leaflet called 'listening to your comments'.
I'm unsure what to do next, should I stick to my 14 days demand timetable and write again demanding they pay up or I'll begin court procedures. Or should i wait a little longer for them to come back to me with their comments? Its now been 16 days since I last sent my initial letter so I know I need to decide what to do quickly.
Thanks for any help!0 -

Of course it is entirely up to you what you do next but if I had the opportunity now of not going through court then I think I would. At the beginning 8 weeks seems like a long while to wait but I've gone down the court route and it is now 10 weeks, and there is no end in sight at the mo. I'm waiting for a court date which, by looking at the other threads posted, could be months away.
It all depends if you are happy to just receive the money they have taken from you, or maybe a bit less, or if you actually want interest because you are only really entitled to claim interest if you are going through the court.
Hope you are happy with what you decide
But then how ever long it takes at least we have this opportunity!!:rotfl:0 -
I started my claim with the 1st letter on the 01/03/07 and have waited for HSBC to make an offer which i received on the 19/04/07
Claim was £2173.48 = interest of £592.43, they have offered my £1800.00
I have stated that i will accept as part payment but will continue with my claim and am currently trying to get a response from HSBC
Has anybody challenged HSBC's offer direct with them rather than going through MCOL and if so have they managed to increase the original offer?0 -

HSBC have acknowledged my claim against them and now have 28 days. Is it likely to go any further than this? Has anyone been in this situation with HSBC? The thought of going to court makes me want to give up!0

Firstly just remember thisis the next step they still have to defend the claim and then turn up at court.
Chances are they'll give you the full amount days before its due to be heard in court.
Just take a deep breath and remember that no bank has successfuly attended court and defended their charges.
Just look at the threads on the success boards and remember why your doing this. You'll be the one smiling when they pay up.
Good luck and rememeber everyone here will support you0 -

Don't worry!!! Both Natwest and Nationwide acknowledged my claims. Then about two weeks later they paid up!0 -
Hiya,
just a note to say I've just requested my statements (posted the letter to my local branch by hand) including the £10 cheque and got the cheque back with a "thankyou" note :rotfl: to say they don't charge for this service.
After reading loads of postings on this forum we can't wait to tell HSBC where to stick their 1st offer and get them in court. :beer:MAD EBAY CHALLENGE #5 25 ITEMS =£70.15/£20000
