Another variation at Hertfordshire Uni (Hatfield Poly for us older ones).
"Civil Parking Charge" which they manage to abbreviate to CPN!
It then says "if the CPN is not paid the vehicle keeper details will be requested from the DVLA which could result in further action being taken against you if the CPN remains unpaid"
I can't help feeling there is a flaw in the logic there somewhere.
This is the "Car Parking Partnership which is a trading name of Liberty Printers" ?????0 -
The parking enforcement person is deliberately ticketing behicles that are properly parked. The more tickets, the more bonus. They know that a certain number of people will be intimidated into paying, even though they know they are innocent. It's thievery, pure and simple.
Definately a very forceful complaint to Asda head office (never bother with the branch). Keep a copy and send Recorded Delivery. Make sure you mention that the Asda staff member threatened that your vehicle would be clamped (that involves Asda, as well as the parking company, in any potential litigation. They won't be so keen on that)."Never underestimate the mindless force of a government bureaucracyseeking to expand its power, dominion and budget"Jay Stanley, American Civil Liberties Union.0
