These require to be more carefully looked at. If it says "We will take civil measures to recover the debt" or something like this then they can be ignored. If it says that representations should be made to the magistrates court (not common) then do NOT ignore.Ihatecameron wrote: »Does this apply to NCP and Railway car parks as well.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -

Then you persist and call 999 if necessary , it is NOT a civil matter to clamp a vehicle for an unpaid INVOICE , it is a criminal act .
This needs to be spelled out very clearly to the Police , make sure they know you are not complaining about a clamper lawfully clamping you for a parking infringement which is legal but a clamp for not paying an invoice ..which is totally illegal.
Make sure you get a name rank and number if they try to brush you off and ask to speak to someone higher up the chain or as a last resort 999 to report a crime in progress.0 -
Can someone please clarify to me what law it is that makes them illegal signs ?
I have seen this assertion many times but have yet to find the explanation of which law the sign falls foul of.
Section 40 of the Administration of Justice Act 1971 and the Administration of Justice Act Scotland.Ok maybe but there again maybe not ..it is a misdescription but it is not a claim or demand for payment.
No misdirection/misdescription - uttering anything that purports to give them any kind of official or authorised capacity to levy fines or making any sort of threat claim falls under this section.0 -

So WHY won't ANYONE do ANYTHING about it ??!!!

I hope you told them you will be shopping elsewhere and advising all your friends and family to do the same ,even if it does cost you a little more ,until the PPC is removed !0 -
If you don't get a reply write a letter and send it by Recorded Delivery.
Enclose a copy of the email and keep the letter short and to the point, something along the lines of "attached is a copy of an email I sent on ?? Feb 11, to date I have not had the courtesy of a reply. Does this mean that Asda don't care less about their customers? Rest assured that I will be making my friends aware of this fact"0 -

Harassing those using a disabled bay, who are entitled to use it, is a DDA (Equality Act) breach. ASDA could be fined and you could claim compensation.
So let's see what the CEO's reply is...!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I think we should enlist the help of a disabled motorists' charity, such as Mobilise to battle these sharks. Oh, hang on...0
