Oooh I can't wait to get my library card through so I can join in with this!

Also ashamed to say that I have never read any Jane Austen either, have made a good start with Behind the Scenes at the Museum (day off today) and really enjoying it, struggling a bit with the flitting about in time at times, and have needed to check names, but getting there.0

How do you choose Lala? Do you have anything in mind when you go or do you just pick the things that look good?

I pick out titles that appeal to me then read the back/inside cover. I usually end up holding a few and having to eliminate some
If I'm not entirely sure on my decision, I take two home so I'm not left bookless!AF since 10.04.11

Update!
[STRIKE]"A" Ahern, Celia - Book of Tomorrow
"B"Battison, Patti - Love to Death
"B" Brandreth, Giles - Oliver Wilde and the Ring of Death (back up book I couldn't put down!) [/STRIKE]
"C" Corbett, Judy - Envy
"D" Davis, Will - Dream Machine
Loved the Gyles Brandreth book! I've found out that it's one of a series of murder mysteries by him so I'll have to bear him in mind in future

Love the A-Z idea, I have a pile of books waiting to be read that I had for Christmas and still havent read because I had 10 books out of the library. Finally read all the library books and took them back, didnt get any more as I wanted to read my Christmas books, only to find OH has packed them all! (He is decorating the bedroom where my bookcase is) as it takes him so long to decorate I will be lucky to get them unpacked before next Christmas!
I am therefore currently reading the only book I could find lying around which is a Jeremy Clarkson. Must go to the library and restock. Will definately look up a Giles Brandreth, didnt know that he wrote if thats the Giles Brandreth Im thinking of.
Like you, I would be devastated if my local library closed. I always thought how lucky we were in this country to have such a fabulous "free" resource, however little money you have you can still join the library and read for free! (As long as you remember to get them back on time - Im very bad at this.)0
