  • Seems excessive for a gaming computer, what's the spec?

Just like in naff plays, where they want to move the plot along while explaining it to a new listener, "Why are you telling us this?"

Are we supposed to marvel at your money-spending capabilities?

It does seem very much like trolling...
  • You can build a top spec 3d playing, high spec gaming pc for around £500

The actual spec I'm going to be building is around £1800, then I have the hardware ripe for future upgrades when all existing hardware gets cheaper. Full spec if I went full hog total 3700 or somewhere to that effect. It is a bit overkill, I'll decide if I pursue with it depending on how much free money I have :)

Very much, because it is. I'm bored and rarely post here, so felt like making a post. It actually started out I was going to ask for suggestions, but when I started posting the spec realised people were going to think I was trolling anyway so decided to make a topic which knew people would reply to. People don't have to agree with the spec I'm building, but there's nothing stopping them exiting this topic either

Madness indeed. It's just a shame that a fish swallowed the bait in the OP's post and allowed him to stroke his ego (and going by his sig he clearly revels and needs constant reassurance that he's outdoing the Jones'). Considering the hardship that many people on these forums have to suffer I think he should keep his crass statements to himself or go post on the Overcockers forum where he will meet people with similarly large bundles of cash / credit to dispose of (ooops, think I missed a letter there).
