Although I love my D'sIL dearly I really don't wish to bond with their parents!! I once sat in a very small room with one set after our GD was born and after an initial curt nod she acted as if we weren't in the room and didn't speak once, it was so embarrassing especially as I think I am completely normal and approachable!! I can speak in sentences and everything!! Let them met when they have to, you don't need to engineer a meeting for them.Slightly bitter0

Got to say mine and my Fiancee's parents have all met and aswell as both our brothers and all is fine. With that our parents are more or less interchangable and do share ways of life and work ethics etc, as it is our mums have been out shopping together.
With that we have 2 families who do keep families close and they both see it as an extension of the family rather than there son's/daugther's other halfs family.
In short there is no right or wrongs here.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

My parents have met my fiance's parents twice- once at my sister's wedding and then at my significant birthday. I did offer to introduce them sooner when we agreed to move in together but my dad refused to meet up for a meal as he thought it would be awkard and that that they would both meet in time.
Why don't you chat to your parents about this to see what they would prefer? I know what I preferred differed from my parent's views.Jan 1st 07 Car loan £4830.46@12% Personal Loan £11,517@8% variable Overdraft £1500 July 2009Halifax-£0Debt free date 14th July 2009 :j0 -
