Noooo! Where did the time go? Have about an hour left before DH gets home.
Upstairs looks great now. Lemon Meringue done for tonight and bedroom and spare room windows cleaned but not a lot else and still have LR and kitchen to do!
DON'T PANIC! Off to do LR...0 -
The fred is lovely to read today. So many lovely things said about Diva. I hope everyone has worn their purple with pride.
DS2 has bacterial tonsillitis. Dr actually looked shamefaced as we came into the surgery. DS was deathly pale and in his pyjamas as he didn't have the strength to get dressed.
DSis has upset Mum. Mum was on the phone in floods. I am fed up of my sister's behaviour. We've all moved mountains to help her set up her gym and she is so very rude at times. The planned meal for her birthday tomorrow night is now cancelled as Sis wants to go out at 5pm and I am not taking my children for strange food that will give them tummy ache in the middle of the night. I've lost enough sleep this week!
WM x 4, TD x 2. DS1 has s/s the kitchen.
I'm going for a nap now as my eyes are crossing with tiredness.
Hugs to your DS - did the same myself years ago when DS was tiny!
Sorry to hear about your sis. Mine never comprehended why I wouldn't take a 1 yearold and a just over 2 yearold to hear wedding lunch - 5 course Chinese banquet!:rotfl:
I'm still happy that I didn't take the kids - IT WAS the right decision!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Hello all,
I was at work today, but wore my purple trousers in remembrance of Diva.
Lovely to see returning flyladies posting and people who aren't flyladies but who still wanted to join in.
Thank you to Ian for taking the time to post on the thread. Thinking of you today too.
This is an extract from a poem that I posted on Diva's candle.
Fast asleep.
Singing birds in their leafy cover
Cannot wake her, nor shake her the gusty blast.
Under the purple thyme and the purple clover
Sleeping at last
Sweet dreams Diva,

Well I've done a bit of flying since I've been home. Decluttered some important phonecalls, emails and faxes, and Moon has defrosted the freezer (on my request), and hoovered the living room. I've just asked if he's hoovered the sofas, and he hasn't so I'll do that later.
When I left for work this morning there was an ambulance outside my neighbour's house. I got home tonight to find that she'd died in her sleep last night. She was 93, so a good way to go, but sad all the same (I didn't really know her, but MIL (lives in between the two of us) was a bit upset I think, as was Moon, as he used to cut her lawns for her.
On a happier note though, I've got my hair trial at 9am tomorrow for my wedding hair, and I've got my dress fitting on Sunday, so a busy wedding weekend. Need to wash my hair soon, so that it isn't too slippery for styling tomorrow (should really have done it this morning, but didn't have time).
Had a good day at work today, as the class were doing experiments involving chocolate. I'd spotted the bar of Dairy Milk in the teacher's desk yesterday when she was talking to me, and I commented on it being her reserves for when it's been a tough day. She said that it was for the experiment, and that I could finish it off for her if I wanted to, so I did (naughty naughty lol). It was only 2 rows, and I know that's still quite a few calories, but I'm not going to put on that much weight overnight, so I thought it justified as it is half term too and I deserved a treat.
Well I'm off to burn some of the said calories off, by hoovering the sofas now before home and away.
Hugs to all who need or want them, and also wecome home jinks - you made me laugh today with your picture of your knicks.

OK - last bit done in a bit of a rush but still pleased with house!
Level 1 done of Monday and Tuesday's rooms - at least they're both tidy. May continue tomorrow if I'm feeling especially motivated. Having cleaned some of the indoor windows and can now see out of them I've realised how filthy the outsides are so that might be this weekend's challenge. DH has said he'll do upstairs outside if I do downstairs - sounds like an offer I can't refuse.
Off for Indian takeaway now as I ran out of time to cook - oops!
Have a great weekend everyone...0 -
