  • I understand your frustration CyclingYorkie! I was finally diagnosed with ME at the age of 13 (20 years ago) having been ill since I was 11. By this time, I had had a hard time at school because it was still a very unknown illness and people thought I was making it up, teachers didn't know what to do with me, Doctors just sent me home each time we went to see them with a different tablet to try and after a spell in hospital a consultant had more or less told me I was an attention seeker! I am still worried now when I am ill that people will think I am making it up.
And of course I was always hearing of some new miracle cure for it, or of someone who had had ME for about 6 months but was now cured!!
I don't know how old your daughter is or how long she has been ill for but I would like to say, don't give up hope! It might take a long time but for me there has been light at the end of that tunnel. With lots of help and encouragement from my family, trial and error of various conventional and non-conventional treatments, improvements & relapses and time, I am now a generally well & healthy 33 year old. I wouldn't say I was cured, I have bad times and the occasional differcult spell but on the whole I am a million miles away from the girl who couldn't get out of bed or even eat a bowl of cornflakes because it was too exhausting!
Good luck and best wishes to your daughter :)

I have 2 ovens too.. if it makes you feel less bad about yours!

Actually.. is it worth having it professionally demanked and sticking an oven liner in??

I have an oven liner in. I think it also has a 'clean' cycle. May have to get out the instruction book:rotfl:Might wait until after I cook dinner and leave it overnight. Or does that count as procrastination?

Mine was last done in March last year!! OH got it fairly clean and promised to go redo it to get it sparkly.. well that bit never happened and it is gross again. for a 3 year old oven that is very wrong.. but being pregnant I couldn't get down and clean it and haven't had time since!
