Job for this afternoon - finish laying the hall carpet (and try not to make any more mistakes, although I suspect I'm the only one who'll notice them).
Oh yes, this flying is rubbing off on the family - we have a flybaby, who kindly pulled the clean washing off the radiator and started cleaning the floor for me (just like he'd seen me do!)
Taking one day at a time....I'll get there in the end

Oh someone has got it in for me today. Sun, rain, sleet and snow. Dog just gone out again and trekked back mud AFTER I hoovered. I'm really regretting the dog flap:eek:

    Hi All

Hi All, hope you are all well, I am posting from work, I am in again this week, thanks to all at FCC. I may shoogle the lists about to suit myself as I am having some friends over on Saturday night for food and nibbles so will keep the lounge, bathroom etc until Friday. I am attempting to make my own sausage rolls, anyone got any good recipes, I have downloaded Delia’s recipe, just wondered if anyone has tried the Delia one or has a tasty one of their own they could share.

Oh and Happy Valentines Day!! :heartpuls

DH told me last night he would have to go out and buy me another card as the one he had got me says “Happy Valentines Day….from THE CAT!!” He said he never noticed :rotfl: I told him I had made him one rather than buy one and told him to do the same and use stuff out my card making kit so we shall see what I have when I get home!!

We had our Valentines Dinner last night as DH is backshift this week and I cleaned the kitchen thoroughly afterwards so lets see what I can cross off….

    Welcome to all the newbies.

Special love and hugs as always to Lady-L & Toots x

Greenbee No words of wisdom for you I'm afraid (mainly cos I'm totally carp at relationships), but major amounts of posi-vibes, as I reckon you could use them.:o
You're probably the person I need advice from them... I'm crap at them too... and so is ex apparently. Difficult phonecall earlier... we were on IM about work and he called... because he wanted to hear me. It doesn't make it easier. Anyway, we're going to be brave and meet tomorrow in the hope that we can cope with seeing each other. Work trips start in just over a month, so we have to be able to get our act together in some way or other.

My weight loss has now hit 2 and a half stone, since I started using the Wii on 14th January 2010; I have to go through ALL my clothes at some stage, but I've put each separate drawer/cupboard on my “Toots OMG” list, and will be enlisting Mr LW's help. I'll have to try a lot of things on, and I need assistance with dressing; also I get very disheartened doing that sort of major task on my own, and would be likely to just chuck the lot. Not very MSE, that.:D
Congratulations :) Why not suggest to Mr LW that when you're getting dressed on days when you aren't under time pressure you try on two or three things until you find stuff that fits, and he bags up the too-big stuff there and then. If you've got someone local who does alterations, that might be the most cost-effective option (particularly for the stuff you like) and would save you having to brave the shops...

I do need to find a way to chain up the BD though; he's been plaguing me all weekend,:( and I need him suppressed tonight, so as not to spoil the evening for Mr LW.

Right, I must go and get on; having landed on the deck a couple of times over the weekend, and having a very painful shouldder, I'm not going to be doing anything that requires the step stool or a lot of stretching for now. All I have to do now is work out how to stop feeling guilty about this..... lol life's never straight forward, is it?:o
You do FAR FAR more than I do, and I'm perfectly fit and healthy at the moment. Don't feel guilty. You keep your home clean and tidy, you cook delicious meals for Mr LW, provide a fabulous holiday destination for lots of lovely doggies and on top of that you've varnished all the doors AND you do paperwork for other people (want to be my virtual PA :p).

So send that BD straight back out the door... only cute, cuddly, well-behaved doggies are allowed to shed hair in your house!

All of us spent a HHC in the garden so path has been brushed and rubbish/broken toys lifted. Feels great to have it done, now just need a plan for the back veg patch.

Plus my new laptop arrived today.....:j no more burning my legs.

Right time to get the front hall sorted, it's a complete tip.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Hi all, managed to almost rip my little toe off earlier...you know the cupboard, the majority of your foot goes one way, your little toe goes the other.

Spent the day in A & E, not broken, thank gawd, but needed 3 stitches and bandaged right up....

Mopped up the blood, so that's flying isn't it?
