Use dishwasher liquid instead of tablets (Eg: Clearspring) - cheaper and you can control how much (or how little) you use..."The happiest of people don't necessarily have the

If you know someone with a Costco card ask to go along with them. Went there last month and they had a special offer on Finish 4 in 1 that worked out at 5.5p a tablet. Only thing is that you have to be super disciplined not to buy any of the other tempting goodies! Best way ito do this is to bring cash and leave your debit card at home (They have a ATM and dont take credit).NSD 0/150

Old age isn't bad when you consider the alternative.0 -
When I worked in a restaurant kitchen the industrial dishwasher had no powder, it was just blummin hot.
If you are using the dishwasher without powder I wouldn't put any fat covered baking trays or anything because it would likely cover everything else in residue.0 -
I forgot to get dw tablets at the weekend so I tried soda crystals as an experiment - with fantastic results. i have done a search and not spotted any mention of this before.
I know you can use soda crystals to clean the dishwasher - but there is no reason not to wash the pots too, is there?Stash Busting Challenge waiting for inspiration:D :j0 -
Finish 5 in 1 60 tabs are on offer at mr T's at the moment .Was about £12  now £5 98 .I've switched to using the 4 or 5 in 1 tablets as I kept forgetting to add the salt and rinse aid"Every time you feel yourself getting pulled into someone else's nonsense, tell yourself: Not my circus, not my monkeys." - Mark Borkowski.

Have you tried using soapnuts and vinegar together? Haven't done that myself but would love to try.0
