    Hi Guys,

 RANT MODE FULLY ON!

Well after being made a very sensible offer from the bank and accepting it i rang to enquire about my settlement cheque. Only to be told that they know nothing about it.

So after emailing Wragge & Co. , i get an email back saying that the bank have informed the solicitors that the first small cheque has been cashed!

This is impossible as i covered it in the word CANCELLED in RED INK.

No-One in their right mind would cash this cheque.

So looks like the delay tactics continue even after a settlement has been agreed.

I have written back saying basicly , this isn't my fault sort it out in very very near future or i'm going to continue with my action and see them in court!

    UN-BLOODY-BELIEVABLE!

    Sixx.

Theres another member on here "Seboyle" she was told last week by the solicitor that he is recommending A+L settle in full, shes got nothing either and she in court Monday, I don't know what they are playing at!!!
  • Got papers today stating that my case has been transfered to Sheffield Courts....there's nothing with it apart from the standard defence stuff....

    They really arn't budging

I've had success with all the other banks.credit cards i've filed against 4/5 A&L are the only ones who won't give in....

Again, question is, do i have to do anything or just wait??

    xx

    hi.

I received a letter from my local court earlier this week stating that the case was being transferred to Cardiff County Court.

    the letter states:

upon the courts own motion. The Court has made this order of its own initiative without a hearing. if you object to the order, you must make an application to have it set aside, varied or stayed within 7 days of receiving it.

    IT IS ORDERED THAT

    1. Directions will be given in this case by the Designated Civil Judge, His Honor Judge XXXXXXXXXX, on the 14th August 2007 at 10:30am at Cardiff Civil Justice Centre.

    2. The parties may appear in person or make written representations as to how the case should proceed provided a copy of the representations is sent to the Court and the other side at least 7 working days prior to the hearing.

Could someone please help me as i don't really understand what this is saying.

Do i need to submit the court bundles to the court and Wragge & Co?

    any help gratefully received.

    L Jones

I received exactly the same last week with a checque for 1,100, I'm claiming 4,400 so returned the cheque saying I will continue with the Court action. Received a copy of their defence today. Maybe they'll send a better cheque?!

Sounds good .. no court bundle! The judges have certainly caught on that the banks pay up and are making it easier for the claimants.icon7.gif

Keep me posted of any offers,
I offered just over £1000, which i refused, or said i would accept it as part payment only,

A+L successes seem to be very few and far between, infact I go as far as saying they seem to be the worst bank out there. Has anyone seen any a+l sucessess lately?? They do seem pretty good at making laughable offers or saying there going to pay the full amount and they dont

Everyone thinks their bank's the worst but, I agree, I don't see how any bank could be worse than this shower of s***s (they'll love that if they're reading thisrolleyes.gif). One of the things that really gets me is the lies they're telling ... ringing the courts to tell them people have cashed cheques when they haven't. It's despicable and they should not be allowed to get away with it. Rant over ........

Plenty of successes in the last couple of months, but only when they've settled and it's always for under £700/£800. Who knows what's going to happen with the rest of us claiming larger amounts, only time will tell. There's a whole tranche of us with court dates looming and you're probably the first dj ... be thinking of you (next Friday?) if you have to go to court.
