brought a washing machine for 72quid, was very happy! trying a freestanding oven hob. there are tricks to this as its an auction, so work it during the last few minutes and you can get a good deal unless someone is willing to pay upto the RRP, more fool them I say,

.....When you buy something from Comet this way, What sort of guarantees and warranty do you get?

Is it the same as going into the store and buying?

I have emailed them but I have no answer as yet.
    Anyone know?

    8. On delivery, if the goods are faulty or do not conform to description, you may contact us within 28 days. In such event we will provide a full refund of the sum paid by you as a winning bid and any delivery charges. The nature of the products for auction prevents replacement products being provided in the event faults or failure to conform with description. We will arrange collection at our own expense. Products bought at auction may not otherwise be returned.

Well i'm definitely not overeducated (see your sig) (hehehe ;)) but I still cant see about a warranty. But I assume that the usual 12 month one will still be ok?

I believe you get one year warrenty on everything, i enquired about this as i bought a lg washer and bosch dishwasher which should come with 2 year warrenty and was told they thought it was just the 1 year. I looked at what i had paid and it was less than the basic machine in comet and if things are going to go wrong it would be within the first year anyway.
The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I managed to win a cooker that I wanted for less than half the rrp.It stated small scratch so fingers crossed.Appliances get scratched and damaged in my house quickly anyway because of my naughty nephews and nieces who like to visit. The only problem is they dont deliver to alternative address's and as I have recently moved the cooker will be delivered to my mums as my bank card is still registered there. My old dad will have to shift it down to mine.
