  • Did Anyone Get Any Good Bargain???????
I Always Found That Price Usually Closes Very Close To Store Price. Further Delivery Cost Makes The Total Cost Of Item Sufficient Enough To Match Store Price!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Comet Auction Is A Joke, Always Has Been, Pretty Much As Bad As Cash Converters Desperate attempts to get rid of crap

Last year, I picked up a washing machine for £150 plus £30 delivery. Even including the delivery, it still saved me £100 off the retail price. The machine was listed as un-boxed/unused with a few marks and a 3 inch dent on the front. When it arrived I couldn't find any marks and the dent you wouldn't notice unless you were actually looking for it. I haven't had any problems with the machine since I got it.

My only suggestion to anybody wanting to buy anything from the site is to watch for a few weeks before bidding, that way at least you get an idea on what items usually sell for and see if you would be getting a bargain or not.

  • Had a quick look on the site and noticed that there is a Samsung wide screen HD ready TV available, current bid £490.00

It is used/returned item with an original in-store price of £449.00!!

  • This auction part of Comet has been around for years the for year the bargains for electrical goods has been awful. I've regularly seen items go for far more than you can get them elsewhere on the bet. You obviously have a lot of seriously troubled people using this site.

I tend to find the better bargains are for items that are more expensive in the first place. I've had two fridge freezers from the site, both in a+ condition & saving over £100 of the store price each. Mostly though the stuff doesnt seem to be very much of a bargain, rather go and buy brand new from the store!
  • Mmm think i'll stick to QED-UK.com especially at Happy Hour.

What's "Happy Hour" please? Couldn't see anything on the site that referred to it.

    Thanks.
