Could someone clarify this for me please?

Does easymobile give your PAC number to Fresh themselves or do they email it to you first and then you give it to PAC (in which case your EM service would remain until you give the PAC in to Fresh?).

It seems from the way easymobile advertise on their website that your easymobile account will be closed automatically once you decide to change to Fresh so I don't know whether to wait until I've used up the credit left in my account until I switch to Fresh, otherwise i'll lose it if it's closed automatically!

    Thanks!xx

Until you've ported your number you will be able to use the easymobile SIM. The PAC will be sent separately in an email and is valid for 28 days so order the Fresh SIM now and wait till you've nearly used up all the easy credit. Then port your number to your new provider.

Thanks - how does their direct debit work given that it's a PAYG - does it click in at a certain balance (like EasyM) or is it a set amount per month?

Also, is there a website where you can get details of all of these things?

Finally (I think...) can their answer service be turned on and off without charge (by short code or whatever...)?

Basically you pay what you've used every month. If you set up the direct debit they will agree a certain amount of credit for you, that sets a limit on what you can use each month. The direct debit will just take out the amount you've used in the month.
It's better this way - because when topping up credit there is a delay in your balance registering calls because of the virtual network thing. This means you can go 'overdrawn' quite easily when you run out of credit, and then you're phone seems to be blocked completely which is a bit of a pain.

Don't know of any answer about the web page...

Also not sure about the last question - I can adjust whether incoming calls go to voice mail using the Divert Calls options in my phone. Is this what you mean?

Someone was asking about roaming charges... I don't know exactly but I don't think they are two bad (I used my phone a bit abroad and it didn't seem too much - but I didn't look into it that carefully).

Also - you won't be able to get through to a real person on the 0800 number, that seems to be the automated service. You have to use the 0870 number for that (but its only a 5p or something if you use a 0844 number from the call checker).

Ok thanks :) I've just read as well on the Fresh webpage that it can take up to 2 weeks to transfer your number?? Does that mean that if I don't transfer it now, I may not have a number for 2 weeks after Easymobile cease?? Thank you

Has anyone actually activated and tried the Fresh service yet?
  • I was going to go along with the Fresh offer, but having read this thread and done some research I think I'll go with Tesco instead. Mainly because their minimum call charge seems to be 5p rather than 15p!..

Although their Value tariffis probably best for me I'm thinking I'll get the Extra tariff for 3 months (paying £15 a month top up), in order to collect an extra 1000 clubcard points (see tesco.com). Looks like it will be easy to switch to the Value tariff after this time (with the excess credit remaining in the account).
  • ive put the sim in from fresh and i could use straight away i dont think ive registered it .not spoke to anyone .
dont intend staying but hey theres a tenner on it i want to pac elsewhere after reading all coments on fresh .
ive got the pac that easy sent out .
any one got good idea as to who to use .

  • Tesco Extra looks like best choice, and use fresh £10 too.

But I never spend £15 a month (if I did a contract would be an option), so does that credit roll over or do we lose it after 30 days?

Also, I already have a spare Tesco Mobile sim from ages ago when I bought 2 but only used one. Will that be a problem do we think.

My EasyMobile account is now -5p. If I leave that debt they could charge me. If I leave that charge they could mark my credit rating. If I top up by £5 I won't be able to use it in time. Hmm... anyone have this?

  • I bought my Samsung C120 from easymobile. I requested an unlock code, but I then received an email from them stating that they could not find an unlock code for my phone. Twice, I have called them and they promised to call back. I have also provided them with evidence that I purchased the phone from them. I was thinking of taking up the fresh offer, but not if I can't use my handset. Any ideas, or help?

The phone details are as follows:
    Samsung C120

    IMEI: 359291/00/057884/1

I mainly phone my wife, is there a PAYG deal that you can assign a number and get prefered rates on that number, I have to change her provider as well so we will both be on the same network, I wanna stay with T-mobile network as I found great reception on easymobile.
