Scottish Power has withdrawn Online Energy 12 as of yesterday

I rang SP today to see if OLE 12 was available to current customers, and was told it has been withdrawn as of yesterday morning.

I wanted the SP Capped June 2013 deal anyway, so I didnt challenge it.

  • I phoned SP at mid day today and they happily changed me to Online Energy Saver 12 from next Monday.. Worth phoning again and trying another operator. I did say that I phoned last week to change to OES12 but the operator offered me capped rates. I was phoning back to say I had decided on the OES12 after all..

    No they haven't.

I have been put on this tariff today.

The customer service assistant said it was for new customers only, and where had I seen it advertised. After telling her I had seen it on a comparison site she said she could probably put me on OES 12 as I had asked for it and would speak to a colleague.

Few minutes later transferred to OES 12

Only downside was DD went up as there was not enough credit to cover bill when she asked for current meter readings. Not really bothered about this as will level out at next review as better weather starts and use less heating.

She has got it wrong too. Looks like SP advisors could do with a lot more training about this. It's advertised on their website.
(I gave a link in another thread)

There is nothing in the terms of the tariff that restrict the tariff to new customers only. Indeed they confirmed to me previously is was available to existing customers ... and were more than happy to put me on it when they realised I could not apply online (as the terms indicate it should be applied for online).

Indeed I was told today that it was limited availability and they were more or less keeping those places for new customers, I kicked up a fuss as advised by Premier, I told them it wasn't fair as they were neglecting long serving customers, the CS spoke to her manager and I got the deal

The tariff is not limited to any specific number of applications afaik, as I said in my reply to your previous post made hours earlier

    The tariff is still available.

Yes I know, what I'm saying is that is what CS are telling poeple on the phone, they are saying it's limited and for new customers, that's what they told me, maybe what they're saying is wrong but that is obviously what they have been told to say.
They first tell you that's it's been withdrawn, then when you ask why still on website they tell you limited to new customers, that's when you have to insist.
Never said what you are saying is wrong, but that is the spiel they are giving on the phone for existing customers

Whereabouts on the SP website is it guys? I can't find it for the life of me!

Also, if the OE12 is no longer around, has anyone tried the Unifi Tariff, is that worthwhile?

It is still available as I explained in post#4.

Here's the direct link to the SP website contained in that thread linked to

I would suggest using a comparison site to see which supplier & tariff is best suited to you
