Well its the first home I have had with oil and the boiler is pretty old. So far I had to buy 500 litres when we moved in December (price rocketed to about £380 and then had to buy some again at start of February for £320 iirc). Still got about 350 litres in the tank.
So thats 650 litres used at about £0.70 per litre so cost to date is £455 giver or take. Thats about £5.68 per day so £178 per month.
Sorry AGA stands for? Still getting to grips with all these abbreviations

Congrats on the baby - having three under threes must be scary.
I thought two under twos was bad:rotfl:
In all seriousness congratulations it must be a lovely feeling being in a forever home at such a young age.
We are of similar age 26/27 with two kids 2 and 8 months (girlies) but we are trying to overpay for a bigger home, although we change our mind on this, might stay here and be MF earlier
actually so far the jump from two to three kids seems less drastic than one to two did.
Yes I am rather lucky to be in the position of being in my forever home (or at least the home until I win the lotto :rotfl:). Especially since we got the house for a bargain price of 50k less than the original asking price.
Thats the main reason for wanting to be MF, the stability to know that no matter what is round the corner we are safe and sound without the worry of not being able to afford this place.

Had a day back at work today so obviously got little done, still got a bit of paternity leave left so not in tomorrow.
I did however sign up to quidco and tried to do a few surveys although most I get cut off from (think I am doing them too late)
Also started a list of the energy consumption of each of our items (yes I know I have become a little obsessed with my energy monitor)
Jobs list for Thursday
- Sand the walls and ceiling in our bedroom
- Paint the ceiling with two coats
- Put up some mirrors and shelves for OH
- Balance the radiators
- Put the co-op dividend card cash into the bank

LOL its not an abbreviation, its one of these

though I wish we had that kitchen!!
It does cooking, heating and hot water, but gollops the oil. We have a condensing boiler, and since we got it (and central heating) it has hardly had any impact on our oil consumption compared with the amount that this beast uses.
Wouldn't change it, though. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

oh dear lord, how simple of me! haha.
I spent a good while thinking before i posted that too! :embarasse
When we moved in we thought we had a back boiler with our open fire.... sadly turned out the old lady before us had got it wrong. Still who knows how many years she thought she was heating her water up with her fire lol.
Job wise though, didn't get as mcuh done as i wanted as I had to keep a close eye on two kiddies.
Did do the celing and sanding whilst also fitted some carpet grippers and started on with some glossing.

Okay so 95% finished the decorating which means I can get back to thhe task at hand.
received my first musicmagpie cheque for 13.31 (not much but it all helps).
Have dug out a load of other cd's and dvds (30p a time is not much but better than having them just sat on my shelf gathering dust).
Also need to sort out some ebay/car boob items, have plenty of books and bits, just need to find the time.
Had several NSD so far and have made use of some supermarket vouchers for the food shop.
Have signed up our nectar card with british gas and also got the search toolbar.
Other than having the MOT and tax disc due end of this month I don't foresee any big expenses.

Rather than continue to derail michelles thread regarding potential quidco I have done some rough costings on what I could get back.
Switching to viking direct for stationary (9%CB - £1200 approx)
If travelex works for BACS payments then I could be looking at around £6,000
If it works I will be kicking myself I didn't do it sooner!

That sounds like a lot to me! I wish I had to make some of your business purchases...
Not sure if you're aware, but a lot of companies only pay out on net prices excluding VAT (or any other tax) so that might affect your calculations.
I'm a huge cashback site fan. Particularly Quidco, but that's mainly because I won a skiing holiday in a competition they ran :rotfl:0 -

Yes all the figures I worked off are nett only. Yes luckily we do make some sizeable purchases and I am soley responsible for what we buy and where from. I somehow doubt the travelex one will work but if it does, then thats a bonus.

NICE!
I think I've made about £1 from Travelex all together :rotfl:I think that shows how much foreign currency I take on holiday with me!
From a personal purchase point of view, mobile phone contracts and insurances typically pay pretty well.0
