  • Must be a relief to have her home. I hope she is less of a worry now, not that they ever are are they.

That graph looks absolutely brilliant. I haven't seen that one before.

It sure is, Boots will hopeflly deliver the Angelcare mat today which will certainly give peace of mind. DW is really pleased to be home, she was starting to go nuts in hospital.

Yes I like the graph part too, lets you visualise really easily the savings you have made, also the chart updates automatically when you alter the interest rates so you can get a much more accurate idea of savings than just the mortgage calculator alone.

Cheers Froggy, haha like the handshake part :rotfl:

I do hope to get rid it asap. Truth be told I want it gone in seven years but that really is pushing it. Still you need to aim high!

That's brilliant news about DD. Lets hope that this is the end to it all. The mats are good, we have a tommee tippee one which has been brilliant, we have only just stopped using it at 6 months as now baby blue is wiggling about too much at night. The angelcare one has fantastic reviews. They are worth the piece of mind.

That's some impressive graph, I wouldn't mind that myself. It's good to see results like that.

Thanks Iris, I had a look at the reviews and they were nothing but positive.

I put the link underneath the graph for the download site for the excel table.

No if you scroll down a little bit you will see a similar screenshot to mine and a download part next to it.

Alternative here is the download link - http://download.cnet.com/Home-Mortgage-Calculator/3000-20417_4-75326943.html?part=dl-6266331

  • Thinking of turning green....

I have been mulling over the though of turning part of our front garden in a veg patch and last night briefly thought about having some chickens. Won't save a huge amount but every little helps and at least I know the conditions the chickens are kept in as opposed to battery hens.

Does anybody have any experience with keeping chickens?

  • Had a bit of a spend day so far.

£151 this morning for 2 tonne of top soil and 40sq yards of turf
Also bought a £18 wireless card for the desktop
This weekend I also have to have a new exhaust fitted to the car so thats a couple hundred more on top.....

So an expensive and busy weekend what with the LO's back from the Grandparents and all the gardening jobs I have to do.

It sounds like you have managed to do a lot the home/garden jobs yourself though which will save a lot, my parents always did all their own improvements and it saves a packet.

My OH has just cleared our gutters for first time (nasty job) but saved £100

We have recently had a quote for our garden at £5000 but it is a massive job due to a steep incline.

Just being curious how did you manage to move without a chain? We are hoping to do just that (but will wait a few years as we're not sure where we want to be / scared of the hassle etc)
