Quite pleased with myself - got some YS sardines in Morrisons (26p for 4) and had them for tea - not hugely confident in cooking fish (unless it's mussels salmon or prawns) but they turned out ok - baked with salt, pepper, olive oil, herbs and lemon juice. With couscous and stir fried green veg.
However much I enjoy the taste though the little bones annoy me even though i managed to remove most. Doggie is getting a sardine treat as i didn't eat one of them!
Less successful with oven baked veggie crisps - will post separately about that!

Hi guys:hello:
Ok haven't read the thread yet but am really upset and need to vent:mad::mad:Have got Boo 2 quite big pressies for her bday at the end of March, and have told DD what they are, and she seemed ok with it.Today she texted me very early on asking me if i was still getting her a trampoline for her bday, I said "no cos i've got the other stuff", and the trampoline had never even been mentioned before to me.She replied that that was "f*** all", and not to bother, seeing as I got her(DD) "complete tat" for Xmas, and that me and her (DD) shouldn't bother buying for each other any more
:oI am on benefits due to ill health at the mo, and did buy DD lots of Soap and Glory stuff as she asked for as well as jewelllery and a scarf.:o
I haven't replied to the text as am still in shock, but she is so unreasonable and hormonal and demanding as most of you already know
When she was preg with Boo I was working and bought the pram cot etc, but this time I am financially screwed but will help her out as best as I can:(:(
HELP!!!!!!!:(:(:(
candygirl I am sorry mate, but DD is going to continue to abuse you in whatever form she feels like until you stand up to her and keep your word. I would simply agree with her suggestion, stating you cannot afford it anyway. It is not hormones, she is just plain nasty, and thinks she can walk all over you, and you are letting her. Sorry if this sounds harsh but to be honest until you do this it will never stop. If she stops sending Boo, say OK, I am here if you want her to come, and you have a home here, if you need it, but you will abide by my rules, and I am not going to be insulted and abused by you any more. I would also change my mobile no. and block her on Facebook.
Candy, I think Donny has is spot on, Your dd seems to take complete advantage of you, and she will not stop it until you say no, its just another lesson she will have to learn in life, and unfortunatly you are the one who is going to have to teach it. You need to do something before Boo learns from you both that its ok to treat people like that . Big hugs xx0 -

Evening all,
Came home and made bread. Also ragu base and boiled potatoes made to make into moussaka tomorrow evening when I get home from work. Really enjoyed work today (and I can't always say that:))
Need to change bedding for visitors this weekend, but I'll wait til tomorrow and do it while the moussaka is in the oven.
Haven't had time to read the thread today. Hope the JGs are OK (and everyone else with troubles). Hugs to all those who need them. Wishing everyone a peaceful evening, Silver xOutside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.

Lisa,
I am sorry to hear this, I know nothing about this at all, so can't advise, but I am here or on FB if you need to chat at anytime at all, big hugs, you are very brave xxxx0 -
Evening All
Thanks for all the congrats, didn't really know how I felt to begin with but I am quite excited now!!
Candy - Donny has said it all. You are a good person doing her best for her family and having it thrown back in your face. Be strong.
Mrs M - Well done for sharing your problem. Hope you can get the help you need, remember everyone's here for you.
JackieG - Enjoy your visit to the aquarium, it's only five minutes from me so feel free to drop in!
Meanmarie - what a horrible day for you, big hugs.
Flutterby - Well done, knew you could do it!
Well went off to an in-service day today and was sooo bored. When will the council (who are struggling for money) learn that these big talks are useless. Stuff from the first page of phsycology for dummies and very patronising. There were over 100 people in a tiny hall, all shoulder to shoulder and it was getting hotter and hotter. We were near the back and no matter how many times we told them we couldn't hear nothing was done. To add insult to injury we were told that we would be stopping for coffee and a scone at 10.15 - it was 11 o'clock when we got there!!! Sorry, rant over.
Came home to finish tidying for my visitors for the weekend. Got a message from them to say that they wouldn't be here till about 9 and not to bother getting anything for dinner. I got up early and did the base for the lasagne. Not my day really. I am looking forward to seeing them though.
Got tomorrow and Monday off so a good long weekend for me.
Hope those not feeling so good start to feel better soon. Take care. XX0 -
JulieGeorgianaI think the suggestion of the LC diet to help the problem, was not connected with losing weight, but the fact that LC is also a way to control excess insulin production.
I'm so pleased you told me that! I will look into it...! Thank You xWe spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -
Evening All,
My friends is collecting the boys from Cubs, so I am sitting down
I made the cheese pie tonight, it was only a fried onions, mash and cheese layered and topped with sliced tomatoes and baked. Simple and I've never even thought to try it before, so thanks peeps. The boys had toad in the hole, Ds2's lovely pal came for dinner too.
Flutterby hope you "click" tonight, and well done for today, we all knew you'd do well
xx
Meanmarie, how awful for that poor girl and her family, hope DD is OK. I had to laugh at the thought of you and OH yelling at each other over a chainsaw :rotfl: I can't picture that lovely wee man yelling at anyone, are you sure it wasn't just you?

Candy, she needs a boot up the !!!. I'm sorry she's your daughter and you love her, but enough is enough, I would do everything Donny said except changing your number, just in case he oversteps the mark again. Hugs for you honey, xxx
Lisa well done for being brave enough to say something, the link from Cranky was really good, please try and use it. It might help to tell your OH you know, he might already suspect something anyway. If you need to talk, you know where I am. x
Butterfly Brain I hope you are feeling better, it was good to see you post today.
Bramble, I feel your pain, a couple of years ago we really struggled as people the OH was working for were awful about paying him, hopefully he will get his finger out soon. At least you know what to do now
Camelot, I might just do that
I am off to have a cup of tea. DS1 is becoming a real domestic god and peeled all my potatoes tonight - which was a godsend as my hands get really sore doing it - and enthusiastically makes me a cup of tea every morning and evening. :A
Hope everyone is well and happy as possible tonight.
