another one to add to the long list
On the 23th, I was debited on my bank account £300 as you can see just under my wrighting.
    23 Jun 2011POS7976 22JUN11 , CYB/FIRSTMO , NEYDIRECT , 0844 928 5401 DK - 300.00
i got a for to feel in a few days later but I left it on my desk, my daughter came arround, she's 4 years old and wright all over it, I I've asked for another last Thursday, they call me asking if I've sent the new form with the details wich I said (and I did) i would sent it on Friday. The answear was that someone from first Money direct will call me with some more details for the loan. I've requested £25000 pounds for home improvements.
Today, I tried to ring them but none of the numbers are available, sent an email and just got another one back from the delivery subsystem saying that the message could not be sent at the time, and just another one saying again the same thing, could not be contacted at this time.

What shall I do now? the 14 days are gone now, so I can not have my £300 back, am I right?

    Thanks guys
  • Hi All,

Add another one to th list.

£99 and nothing to show signed paperwork but no calls as promised.

There telephone number is no longer working.

Trying to get visa chargeback as did it on the 1/07/2011
  • Hi Guys.

I have been duped too. I paid on the 1st so today I have sent a recorded delivery letter, plus emailed them and copied in the financial ombudsman PLUS contacted my bank to claim the money back (which they say they will do after a investigation). Due to the fact the emails to them are bouncing and line is down I cannot see how I cannot win this case lol.

I Also have the below email from them as proof as to what they promised me.

any one know any other way of contacting them I would be very happy to give them call :)

Come on people wise up..you are meant to be grown up but why oh why are you giving strangers your bank account details...you have some blame in all this for allowing people to get away with it....a bit of advice.....IF YOUR OWN BANK WILL NOT LEND TO YOU, NO ONE ELSE WILL APART FROM THE LOCAL KNEECAPPER..

Look at the above..7.9% rates with what sort of credit history? it is too true to be believed..
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

Even someone with a perfect credit history would find 7.9% tough these days. Please don't ever pay an upfront fee. No reputable broker or lender will ask for one; and never, ever, give your bank card details to these people.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.
  • hi.

bank refunded it for me. To be fair the reason I went with them was that I didnt want or understand all the terms so i wanted to trust a broker to do a good deal for me.

My credit isnt that bad. I had a default about 5 years ago but all else is ok. Think i will have to call around and go direct *sigh*

But HSBC disputes team have given my money back from the "retailer". Might be worth a pop.

    Cheer
  • I know what everyone else will say - and have been kicking myself since then but they have taken out 250 pounds out of my bank account :( Reading all the messages, looks like I will never get the loan so will try and get my money back instead

The people who run these companies must just walk around with a huge, permanent grin on their faces :rotfl:

I'm seriously considering a career change as it's like shooting fish in a barrel.
