i have telephoned oft, and they still have their licence until all investigations have been gone through the more people tell oft the better case they have to stop their licence.

The director for First Money Direct is a one Freddy Ajmi, he lives in Bolton and the company is in Stockport. If you have had problems with First Money then ring their number 0844 928 5401, press 2 and DEMAND to speak to Mr Ajmi. Ask him yourself where your money is! Ive tried and ask where my £875 wages are and been laughed at and told I will never see them. He is a scum bag and a coward. Ring him! Ask yourself where your money is. Then ring OFT when youve been told by the man himself that you will never get it back.

If thats true why not redial and record him ?

Loan scams are getting more and more rife.I do Western union transfers and im seeing an increased number of customers say that the money they are transfering is for an admin fee for a loan :cool:
Thankfully we do ask ,I had 3 cases of this myself in January .

i have telephoned the number and you press 2 as it says for underwriters and no one answers the phone. If my father was not dying i would take this further and phone watchdog and the papers, but i can.t deal with anymore problems, just try to get my money back with through other channels at the moment.what is going to be your next step harrison-neil. i would like to know.

Instead of running up your telephone bill calling the 08 number he is a different number you can call, i have called the number and it works (0161 476 7770)

Thank you i have rung the number and got through and a young lady and i ask where my refund was, she it was being processed and i should get a letter from them by next week. Lets just wait and see. The officer of fair trading are taking up my complaint and have sent them copies of everything i have collected with my dealings with first money direct. lets hope they lose their licence for good this time.

I have just applied for a loan with this company and now feel very stupid having handed over £49.99 which i could actually do with but considering i was getting a loan it was ok. I have still not received any paperwork and after reading the comments i am obviously not going to get any. We went bankrupt 51/2 yrs ago and cannot seem to get credit with the bank even though i have a car loan and have not missed a payment in 2 1/2 years and a credit card. People like this make me sick. I am going to contact Fair Trading and i suggest you do the same.

The officer of fair trading are dealing with it have sent everything to them. First MOney Direct are appealing against their licence being taken away, get in touch with oft the more people complain the better still waiting for my refund. next step is financial ombudsman.

My partner and I are in the process of being lied to and scammed by First Money Direct. We have been on the phone constantly calling them back since they promised our loan would come through on Friday. It is now Tuesday(15/3/20011) and we are going to be losing what would of been our first small business venture. We took the last bit of our money to hold the business as a nun-refundable deposit and 149.99 to First Money Direct. It's a disgusting shame that consumers aren't being protected by the OFT and that rogue businesses such as FIRST MONEY DIRECT and YES to continue to take people's money who are in a desperate situation in their life. They will continue to take as much money as they can until their license is revoked-even though they have been proven to be a scam. This is unjust and unfair and needs to end. It has been an emotional roller-coaster ride and has ruined our possible dream. Thanks.
