Are you connected with EDF in any way??

Its just all your first 9 posts since joining today have been about EDF?

    Just an observation :o[/QUOT

Good observation! I'm just happy to help, with anything to do with the energy industry.
  • I know backfoot has asked one of the head honchos at EDF to install an EDF rep on these boards. energy99 seems to fit the bill to me (seems knowledgeable and friendly), but would need MSE sanctioning to act in an official capacity.

Energyhelpline seems to have the new prices and I've always found them reliable in the past - http://www.energyhelpline.com/ - if you go in quoting EDF online saver 7 as your current tariff then when you get the list of other suppliers up click "View current tariff details" this'll give you the new rates.

Leave it with me and i'll get some info on what tariffs are effected etc but my understanding is ov7 and 8 will stay the same but ill confirm this for you all.
  • With regards to the comments about foreign ownership it is more to the point why should essential services to the British public be controlled by foreign companies .

Privatisation of the utility companies was allegedly done to promote competition and as we can all see it was a massive failure the olny people who benefited were the city

because sadly we dont have any british inventors with that type of money who want to invest!

If EDF have been 'ripping me off' by charging me far less than British Gas would have liked to, long may they continue 'ripping me off'. If you want to stick with British Gas you can pretend they are still a monopoly and ignore all the competition.

Err, I'm not with British Gas. And from week to week you will find, how this crazy industry is structured, the cheapest deal for you will be a different company and please don't try and pretend otherwise or I'll ask for your consumption details, area and monitor it on a weekly basis. And don't think I'm not sad enough to do it. :p
