No that is the monthly cost while in the promotion period. After that it goes up to £172.00 per month. I'll need to call them about this....this was not what was quoted to me on the sales call. Will they have this recorded?
Probably, ring them!!That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Yeah sorry just read it all again and Virgin are saying that the costs are correct. My monthly charge is £137.30 for 6 months then £158.80 after that. But that the Sport Package added on was an extra £27.00
I am on the 6month offer broadband and Tv. Broadband XL (30) and talk unlimited, and TV Package XL with sports. I don't have the record facility on my box (it is on my box but we don't have the service).
The manager is going to give me a call back as I can't understand why it's so expensive.0 -
Do you get HD with that, are you sure you have not ordered two packages? That gum you like is coming back in style.0

You mentioned broadband. Bt is installing fibre optic in virgin's area around the country, so soon sky will have the same speeds as virgin. Also Virgin throttles speeds at peak times.
BT is slowly getting round to updating their ancient infrastructure so it can almost compete with Virgin Media's cable downstream speeds in some places (and actually beats their upstream speed in some cases)
However Sky have yet to announce any plans to use the new FTTC service and are sticking with their LLU whatever the phone line can manage service. That's why from everything I look at, Sky broadband customers who want speed (as opposed to people who just do a bit of surfing and emailing) are leaving in droves especially those stuck on the end of poor phone lines and 1 Meg connections.0 -

HD comes with the V+ box as standard, there is no extra charge. The V+ box comes with record etc. as standard. The V+ box comes free with TV XL.
The site is down at the moment, but your package should cost about ninety-five pounds a month, after the initial offer. Are you sure you not reading the first month's payment, which includes the installation costs etc. Or are reading the account credit amount.
They may have credited you the equivalent cost of the offer, into your account straightaway and will draw that down over the next few months. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

Freeviewer here, enjoying all the shows like Sopranos, Entourage, Boardwalk... you can get lots of the box sets , complete seasons, all in amazing quality.. all for free
Must admit that occured to me. People pay to watch TV? Fifty pounds a month plus? The price of one or two box-sets you actually might want to own? And this is MoneySavingExpert?
Each to their ownNot everyone would spend thousands doing up an old car like I did once..
Confession: Actually we used to have cable with several packages for the TV. When we moved away and couldn't get it, we realised how much time we used to spend watching the pay for channels just because we had them and felt we "ought" to make use of them.
There were only so many episodes of "Mythbusters" I could take.0 -
Often, you don't get the discounts for the other services, if you don't have the bundle. That said, I like watching movies etc. and I enjoy the choice. Then there is all the OD content as well. If I want to watch something on iPlayer or 4 OD, I'd rather watch it on my sofa, in the living room, looking at my 42" plasma VIERRA, than on an office chair, in my study, watching a computer screen. I also love the idea that I can pause, rewind, record from live television. I can't wait for TiVO to be launched. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0
