Thanks codemonkey, I have been reading the thread but carn't afford to buy the dvd and tobe perfectly hnest I have a cross trainer upstairs but at the moment I am struggling to find the energy. I suspect it is the diet as Iam only eating pure proteinwith a small amount of cheese . When I get in from work I am tired and just don't seem to be able to do it. Think I need to kick my self up the backside and get on with it !
Have been feeling a bit down at the moment and a bit stupid for buying the dress !0 -
if you have lost 11lbs since those photos were taken and you are feeling so down at the moment I think it would be a good time to try your dress on again...it may help to give you a boost with the weight loss between now and the wedding...
Im not quite sure why you are holding off to shed another 5lbs before retrying the dress...you may have lost enough weight now and its just a case of toning up what you have...
I think the picture of you with the modesty panel in is better than those without

I'm sure you will be able to fit in it, you've already lost a lot of weight and there's plenty of time to go.
I would really try it on again sooner rather than later, as others have said you will then be able to see where the weight it coming off.
Your diet sounds very extreme and you lack of energy is probably a good indication that you are not eating enough. My only worry woul dbe that it's not sustainable and you'll either not be able to keep up the diet for that long or worse make yourself ill. I think your best bet would be to try increasing your food intake and upping your exercise (which you should hopefully have more energy to do with the extra food intake).
I'm like you I haven't any spare cash to buy the Shred DVD's, or to go to any slimming clubs but what I did do was buy a load of stuff for slimming world on eBay (a lady had scanned in the sheets with syn values etc and typed up some of the recipes and she sends them out via email) and I'm doing it myself. Your more than welcome to PM your details and I can email the stuff to you - I've not lost as much as you (7lbs in four weeks) but I don't feel ill or deprived and I'm finding it really easy to stick to.

Ahh, I see!
I wonder now whether the OP has a 12, but a continental size? The one she tried on in the shop, she might have been told it was a 12 (in a UK size), but the actual dress was larger on the tag (coninental size).
All so confusing lol!Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

Thanks, The picture with the modesty panel is a different maggie dress, its the one i liked best, the one I have is without the panel. OH didn't like the one I did over my bum ! He liked the picture of the second one , I did too, but I thought that a size 12 maggie would be the same sizing.
OH is adamant that the dress eyelets "won't take being put on and off!" Men ! I keep saying that they are tried on all the time in shops !0 -

OMG  please don't tell me there are different sizes ??? The dress in the shop definately had a size 12 Maggie label in, the same as the one I have got. I didn't realise that they came in different. I thought that all Maggie sizes were the same, ie size 12 is more like street size 14.
In the shop they put me in a 14 (differnt style maggie) that was way too big and also a 10 (maggie) that was slightly too small ???
Have a made a major !!!! up whilst trying to be MSE ?0 -
Have you got any other friends who can come round and lace you into the dress rather than your OH (who sounds like mine making silly comments about the dress not being able to take it!) I think the best thing to do soon so you can stop panicking is to try it on again and make sure that it is sitting correctly so you know how it really fits. 11lb is a very good weight loss but it depends where it's from! I don't really know about the dress sizes though, I wasn't very MSE and got my dress from a shop. I don't even know what size my dress is!
If you're feeling tired from your diet you need to up your food intake. I've done a high protein diet before and had to eat little and often to keep my energy up. You should also be eating plenty of leafy green veg to get your vitamins and minerals, you'll feel much better for it!

What you really need to do is get into the dress you have...and forget about the erratic sizing of wedding dresses...you need to concentrate on fitting into the one you bought....
please put it on again if you have lost weight you need to know that you are heading in the right direction...the dress you take to Florida to marry in will need to fit you and you will need to feel confident in it..... but it will only fit you if you have the willpower and determination to do it....you can achieve your goal with the dress you have but you need to take positive steps to lose the weight...and keep focused...you still have 7 weeks...
Once you have tried the dress on again you can make a decision which way you want to go with it bearing in mind you know how the weight is being lost and how the dress fits....it is not worth leaving trying the dress on again until you have lost the extra 5lbs you need to do it now..you then have 2 options
1..resell your dress on ebay to recoup some money and put it towards a larger size
2..start a healthy plan of weightloss and excersise to ensure you fit the dress you havefrugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
