Have you not tried it since losing the 11llb?
it does look a bit wide at the top in this picture, but i would have thought if you have lost weight since this pic that it would fit far better now without the need for a modesty panel.
    Lovely dress btw.

I was going to wait until I have lost a stone and then try again. OH is worried about ripping it .

ok, with my dressmakers hat on.
If there is sufficiant seamage at the sides it still needs to come out a bit. The lacing is far too wide. It needs to be approx 5" wide at the top.
When is the wedding and is your weight loss programme still in place. You may find the use of a very well fitting foundation garment will suck you in a little more.
I'm sorry if you feel this is too blunt. Anything I can do just yell. Even if it means bagging it up and sending it to me. I'll look at the adjustments. xx

Thank you Linda that's not blunt that's kind . I need to try it on again, am going to get the next 5lbs off and then try it again.

You said I shouldn't buy it without having tried the style on ! I sort of thought that one Maggie dress in a 12 would be the same as another Maggie dress in a 12 , how wrong can you be !

I think I have managed to add the photo of the dress I tried on in the shop (oh doesn't like the back of carla, which is why i bought this one)

I would think it depends on where you've lost the weight - know it's scary but I'd cross my fingers and try it on again asap so you've an idea of what 11lbs mean to your body in terms of inches, then you can work out the likelihood of it fitting if you hit your target.
  • Cant you take it back (or did you buy it a while ago?)

Oh I wish I could ! I got it off ebay. I think I will get in it, I will keep dieting, I have always been too big so this is a good excuse to lose it. We go to Florida on April 13th and get married on April 21st . Fingers crossed

Afitos there are also utube tutorials on how to lace a dress. I had a look last week as i wanted to lace my sister in her bridesmaid dress. I liked the use a shoe lace in a bow halfway down the lace holes and tie it as it helps keep the tension and makes it easier to thread.
