Completely agree. Whatever happened to people saving up to buy things. You have 9 months to provide your baby with the things it will require and with websites like ebay and gumtree it doesn't cost anywhere near £500 for the essentials. The funny thing is that the majority of people that I know that are complaining are raking in more than I earn working full time on their benefits.

This thread is making me laugh. Me and OH got made redundant in the same week of Dec 2008, with baby due in April 2009. We used our redundancy money and bought secondhand off ebay and then put the stuff he'd finished with back on ebay.0
