noticed some of you were commenting on how much little spare time they had to do the things they want , my hubby once said' leave the house work and do what you want to do ' he then said it'll still be there tomorrow for you to do !!!!! - like I said he only said this once,
I have now trained him :rotfl:

    Hi all
I'm here!! Been busy for the last week or so but I am still reading back when I can and flying in a very small way at the moment.

I was so very sorry to hear that Diva has passed on - my thoughts are with her friends and family at this difficult time...

Neveah I was sorry to hear that you are losing your dog, such a sad thing to have happened, but you'll never be able to rest if you keep him. I was attacked by a golden retriever 20 years ago and still have the scars - no warning, he just turned on me - they really are loving dogs, but for some reason they sometimes just turn. Very sad, though, and I hope your DD soon feels better.

Right...here's the scary list...I've been rushed off my feet this week, but have done some of the following:

Monday ~ Living room/family room or other reception room!
    Level One
Wear something purple light a candle and remember Diva and other people we no longer have with us but carry forever in our hearts
    Level Two
Dust and deweb.. check those smoke alarms
    Level Three
    Polish glass, mirrors and pictures
Fill a binbag of clutter and fling it
    Extras
Clean out a cupboard.. any cupboard

If you are able/weather permitting go do your necessary garden jobs.

Tuesday ~ Kitchen and Dining Mess

    Level One
    Shine that stinky sink
    Level Two
Clear out a cupboard.. The one with baking supplies or the one with pans and plastic boxes.. GO!! Or you could, if you have one, clear the pantry!
Wipe and replace small appliances.. Clean one thoroughly!
    Level Three
Wipe units and large appliances.. don't forget kickboards!
Wipe the insides of all the cupboard doors!

    Extras
    1. Wash/replace any scanky dishclothes/sponges etc
    2. Throw out those bacteria breeding chipped mugs and plates etc
    3. Sort out and restock medicine cupboards
    4. Wash the brushes, mops, dustpans etc.. how gross do these get?
Wednesday ~ Master Bedroom & Landing
    Level 1
    Check smoke alarms are working
    Level 2
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs.. make sure to do the bed base.. mine was gross
Vacuum mattress before replacing fresh linen
    Level 3
Vacuum floors in bedroom and on landing
Sort one area of clothes or linen storage making sure only what should be in there is, anything that's had it's day or doesn't belong there is removed
Defluff and demuck woodwork... skirtings, window frames, door frames dados, picture rails etc

    Extras
    1. fling boogie time, time for that midweek fling, go grab a bag and clear that clutter
    2. Air the duvet.. fling it over the line for half an hour if you can.. fly away bugs!
    3. Clean windows in these rooms
    4. Binbag dance to go to charity shop! Or just general rehoming!
Thursday ~ Bathroom, Study and Stairs!
    Level One

    Declutter floors
    Vacuum/mop all these floors
    Level Two
Wipe keyboard/monitor etc.. bath, basins, bog.. the works!!
Check bath sealant/grout.. does it need replacing? If so either do it or arrange for it to be done
Wash bath mats, shower curtains, net etc
    Level Three
Wipe paintwork up the stairs.. it always looks so much nicer cleaned and vacuumed!

    Extras

    1. Catch up relevant phonecalls
    2. Do a mini-job you have been putting off forever.. an email or letter or whatever!
Friday ~ Childrens Rooms, Spare rooms Or just neglected spaces!
    Level One
    Declutter and vacuum the floor!
Make half an hour for YOURSELF!!!
    Level Two
Sort through a cupboard of clothing
Sort through a box of toys/junk
    Binbag dance
    Level Three

So, not too brilliant, but I'll try and catch up over the weekend.

Sending hugs to anyone who needs one and birthday wishes to those birthday people!

Off to do the menu plan and then stir fry for dinner.

    Take care

Hugs for pigpen - it sounds like you need one at the moment. Hope getting your nails done this morning made you feel a little better. Even if you're not number one in your OH's eyes (you should be), you are definitely OUR number one!

Hugs also for tootles - I see you have some blue skies for a change up in Scotland today (from the weatherforecast I saw this morning), so hope they lift your spirits a bit.

Oh neveah - I'm so sad to hear your news. Hope DD is feeling in less pain soon, and that both your hearts are too. Sending big hugs your way.

Happy Birthday Natty - tried to send you a text to tell you this, but it seems to not want to deliver. Not sure if you've changed your number?

Hope you had a lovely day out today LadyL and didn't get too wet. Thank you for updating us all about Diva. Sorry to hear that mudbath is poorly again - send her my love - I'll send positive vibes her way too.

Decluttered some more money for the wedding today (had to pay the balance on the honeymoon). Also arranged to meet up with a friend on Tuesday to sort out my hen-do.

The weather here is miserable, so a perfect opportunity to do some spring cleaning, although I'm not looking forward to going out in the garage to do the washing.

I need to print off and fax my expenses form for work in a minute, and check through my time sheets to see which ones I've received payslips for and so can now declutter into the woodburner.

Does anyone fancy a HHC 4.15 - 4.45? I'm guessing some kiddiwinks may be home to lend a hand by then too.

  • Oh neveah I've been there. Massive hugs for you.
Hope little one's okay and the breeder is the best place for pup.
I had a soppy teddy bear that went for my MiL. Broke my heart but you just cant risk it.
I know it's heartbreaking - but in another situation pup might just turn back into soppy sausage... mine did, breaks my heart to know he's not with me but it's better than the alternative.
Probably not what you're considering at the moment but does LO have other dogs she can be friends with? (If you and her are feeling up to it) could turn into a phobia (my niece had nothing half so traumatic as that and crosses the street to get away from them :( )

Anyway massive hugs again for you and LO.
(Tell me to shurrup if it sounds like I'm going on or preaching to the choir, dont mean to.)

Flying wise I have done sweet FA!
Didnt sleep well, so I'm tired. DH is home now so I'll try to have a bit of a go. You know it's bad when you dont even empty the DW.

Ladies, ladies! The way to do this (and get away with it) is to swap targets SO LIT you get the lowdown on Mr pjjjx and Pjjjx locks on mr LIT - get it? That way neither of you have any connection to the target and that's what'll make the crime harder to solve ;)

I want to murder him myself though.. with my bare hands.. for upsetting my small people wonder what time he can be bothered to pick them up today.. or if he will in fact bother at all.

I would like to do something on Friday to mark Diva's ceremony - too far to travel :( maybe we can re-light candles on Friday? Any other ideas?

Maybe a few moments of silent prayer/reflection at 1:15? and the wearing of purple is obligatory! ;)

I feel the need for a jolly good strop and blub coming on... *sigh*.. I already have a sore throat so don't really want to do that. :(
