Back from my next hour. I have

    * Washed up loads of large baking/cooking items
    * Sown leek seeds in the g/house
    * Tidied the g/house up a bit while I was there
    * Potted on 12 cuttings which were taken in the early Autumn, and which were bursting out of their pots.
    * Tidied up the other plants and shortened some to make them bushy

Weather forecast isn't for such a cold night tonight (-2.5C here last night!), so I hope they don't mind too much! Am back in now, inspecting my bread which is nearly ready to bake.

Will get a cuppa and then tidy up in the living room and assemble all my cleaning stuff. That way it should be a straight run-through after lunch. See you in a bit.

    MissH

and LW, you dont usually drink raspberry leaf tea from choice;)
I know - I was advised to have it many, many years ago by a herbalist, and I remember it as being positively rank! I never did find a way to make it palatable - even honey didn't seem to improve it any.

Come to that, does anyone know how to make nettle tea taste any better?

Isn't it fab? I have three loads out. I'm trying to be fair to my new septic tank and not do more than the recommended three loads a day but I'm itching to clear the back log that'sbuilt up over recent dull weather weeks.

Good morning all - aw its lovely that lots of people lit a virtual candle, but please - dont thank me!! It was Mrs B was clever enough to find it....

I had just assumed that everyone already knew about this site, so am just content to know that new people have found their way there and found it helpful.

Mousie has stopped going up and down and not side to side ……. and is now not going anywhere. It has been left in the far more capable hands of Mr B for correction today, so I am sneaking on here at lunch time at work to collect lists – and you’ll know whether mouse is in action or not later tonight!

However, Pigpen’s robins are doing sterling work as I see they knew to put the kitchen/dining rooms on for today – I moved 18 cake tins from the dining room to the kitchen this morning in order to go through them tonight and Find Out What Is In Them . I fear the worst – and I need my tins back for an event coming up soon. As Mr B’s off work today, it really would be great to go home and find he had taken the hint and gone through them …………… if I see a robin outside my office window, it could be an indication ………..

Oh, and I’m trying to send messages home so that DH puts the things not on the airer on the washing line ………. I’m trying really, really hard at thought transmission.

Off to declutter a hot chocolate with a friend – shame ‘me time’ wasn’t on the list for today!

Nixie :grouphug: I can relate to just getting on with things - but there may be times when it's not so easy, so be sure to take time for yourself and your OH when you need it.

    *RANT ALERT*

I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: well you get the drift

The SW's have been given Meadowhell gift cards in the past which I loathe with a passion as we hardly ever go there plus not all shops take them. Whilst I was out last week I said to my friend that I still had them and needed to use them this year as one of them at least runs out in August. On reading the back of the card it said (in v small print) that there is a maintenance fee of £2 each month which commences 12 months after the card has been activated  As I couldn;t be sure if we had used them at all I thought I had better check.

So I go onto the website getmybalance.com only to find that one card has lost all it's value (£10) to these charges and the other 2 (each £10) are down to £4 left each. I am hopping mad and ow need to make sure I go to the loathesome place before the end of this week as another £2 is due off each card

    Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

    Debt-free and Proud!
Well I'm back, thanks for keeping me going ladies.

I sorted loads of washing, pegging out and folding. Cleaned the TD filters as it's not in use (yeah!). Washed the LR windows (5 pce bay) and scrubbed the frame and now I'm flagging so going to have lunch and see if I can't gather some more energy/enthusiasm?
