I had my BBD yesterday. I was very impressed with the salon and the two girls who did the treatment. They took 2 3/4 hours to do it and it seemed very thorough. They commented that I got a good deal with my hair as they used twice the amount of product as they normally do.
Have to wait until Friday afternoon to wash it. It's very straight and shiny, but that is expected as it was straightened so much. I will update after I have washed it.
I used the Osmo shampoo before the treatment and it's very nice, thick and only need to use a small amount.

Let us know how you get on when you get to wash it out. The next few days of not washing will no doubt be hard, but it'll be well worth it!

Am really happy today as there is a Groupon deal for a keratin treatment in Manchester. Have signed up and plan to book for end of May.

Can't wait to have it done again :j
  • Not sure if anyone's still following this thread, but my top moneysaving tip for Global Keratin (and other hair) products is:

Hairdressing wholesalers can be good places for deals on salon-quality shampoo, etc.

I get my Global Keratin stuff at CoolBlades (which I'd post a link to, but the site won't let me) and it's a lot cheaper than in a salon.

Just google "CoolBlades global keratin" to find the pages.

This made me laugh so thought I would share it. I went for my 2nd brazilian blowdry last week (another Groupon offer), and asked the girl what brand they use.

She couldn't remember and couldn't pronounce it, but said she'd find out - anyway I forgot to ask at the end so I've just rung the salon.

The girl said it was LNQAR, by G Hair. Which I hadn't heard of. I tried googling but came up with nothing. Then I realised, it's not LNQAR at all, they will be using Inoar (which is by G Hair) but they have misread the logo!! (the 'o' has an extra tick on it : http://www.justbeautyproducts.com/proddetail.cfm?ItemID=847)

Really made me laugh when I realised. I wonder how many other customer they've told they are using something called LNQAR?! :rotfl:
