Which organix shampoo are you using?I was born too late, into a world that doesn't care

Well I've hedged my bets and bought a selection! (seeing as the company replied to confirm all their products are both sodium and sulphate free after all).
Currently using the coconut, it smells delicious!0 -
I had the Coppola treatment done in August, paid £175 for a cut, colour and keratin treatment, including the blow dry 3 days later.
It lasted til about January, cut down drying time dramatically, and my hair still has a fantastic shine.
I've booked to have it done again in early April - it takes about 2.5 hours, what with all the straightening.0 -

I did email Organix, to say that although their website says their products are sulphate free, I couldn't confirm if they were also sodium free.
They have just replied to say that yes, they are also sodium free
.
Had a look at the Organix shampoos this afternoon. On the coconut shampoo the second ingredient is disodium laureth sulfosuccinate. Disodium, by definition, is 2 molecules of sodium. So how can they say the stuff is sodium free?I was born too late, into a world that doesn't care

Hmm, that is not good then. I stupidly believed them when they replied that ALL of their products were both sodium and sulphate free.
I will reply back to their email and see what they say. Not at all happy as that means I'll be unintentionally undoing my BKT :mad:0 -
I think Sodium (salt) seems to be the big no-no, but sulphate free is best. This article seems to give good advice:
http://amominredhighheels.com/budget-shampoo-keratin-treated-hair/ it compares the Organix to the salon brands.
I have been looking for shampoo for ages now and some Burt Bees and Weleda shampoos are OK but a but expensive too. In the end I have ordered this Osmo shampoo it is £7.95 for 1000ml delivered so seems reasonable and is 100% sulphate and salt free. Have just ordered it and it's expected delivery is 11-15th March so will let you know what it is like when I get it.

Hi i sell home use kits but thats for the keratin too. If you want to just buy the shampoo having had a salon treatment id recommend Superdrugs Samy Fat Thickening shampoo 2 for £6.99 at the moment. x

Hmm well I've had a response back from Organix. They have said:
"Actually, you are required to use products that are SODIUM CHLORIDE free. All of the maintenance products for a Brazilian Keratin Treatment, including salon brands contain sodium of some sort. Here is an example of the biggest salon brand, Keratin Complex. If you look at their ingredients, you will see they are the same. "
If this is true, then I am ok to continue using the Organix products. However now I am slightly confused and unsure of what to believe.

Hmm, I don't know what to think. I know that Sodium Laurel Sulphate is a really harsh stripping/cleansing agent and is one of the main ingredients in most shampoos. Sodium Chloride or not, I wouldn't risk SLS removing my BBD.0 -
It's not the nasty sodium laureth sulphate though that is listed on the Organix bottle, it's disodium laureth sulfosuccinate. How different that is though, I don't know.
I am so confused
