I've had countless eye exams in several different opticians and have always be warned before the puff. And it still makes me jump!:A kimmi_b0

Yeah i agree its nice to be warned:-)
I have a thing about eyes *shudder* and when i have my contact lense checks i just hate it when they turn your eyelids inside out to check underneath _pale_
If they did that to me without warning me i would probably be sick in their lap:rotfl:0 -

Eh? I've been wearing contact lenses for 25 years and never had that done. Only time I've ever had my eyelids turned inside out was at the eye hospital when I had a viral infection.0 -

err I've never had that done, I've worn contacts for 22 years now - just get the prescription, and pay for a checkup every 2 years as its far cheaper to buy the lenses online.0 -

Couple of times ago I had the inside out thing done to mine - she did tell me that she was going to "turn my eyelid,it wont be very nice but bear with me,it wont take long" but it was still a horrible feeling !! Its made me really funny about going now, even though Ive not had it done since, I wait for it now...
I dont "do" eyes either - ever since I got poked in the eye with mascara Ive been really funny about other people going near - the poor optician who fitted my contacts the first time had a complete nightmare :rotfl:
I think the lad could have apologised to you OP,but he could have been a bit worried about what you were going to do so paniced ???
Glad you are pleased with the lazer treatment - my mum has had it too and is thrilled !Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0 -
Very bad form from the guy there. If it were me, I'd be mortified I did that without warning you, and be apologising rather profusely about it.moonrakerz wrote: »............ who is the most arrogant person TV at the moment - "I have to wear a wig to disguise myself as I so famous" !!!
Haha, I was just watching her show....
"I've come up with this wonderful idea to improve your store. Here it is"
"It's quite good, but I can think of something to make it even better"
"No, you're an idiot. Clearly you do not know anything about the shop you work in"Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.

Does anyone really need a TV show to tell them that the service in Primark will be c**p ?
If they are selling T shirts at 99p, what are they paying their staff and how many of them are there ?
I once went into a large Primark in London (Oxford St ?) - it was just like it was on her TV show, hell on Earth. But for the prices, what do you expect ? For value for money you really can't fault it though.
Send her on a flight with Ryanair !!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -

So far I have learnt from this series....
- Sofa shops have lots of meaningless promotions
- Mobile phone shops have staff who talk about things you don't really understand
- Estate agents bend the truth about their properties
Well, hold the front page!Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
