Arrogant attitude? I think so......

Oh good for you then. Next time I go I'll try to imprint on my mind the puffy one so I can be ready for it. Or alternatively, the assistant could just warn me.2013 NSD challenge 3/100

Or you could say 'I am scared of the puffy machine, so please tell me when you are going to do it' before they start testing.Best Regards

Right ho.....If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
I wouldn't have said this person is being arrogant, just offensive.0

You get back what you give. To me, reading that you said 'you could have warned me' comes across as a bit arrogant actually.
Had you said, 'Sorry I jumped there, I thought I'd have had a bit of notice of what was coming', with a friendly tone to it, you would have had a different reply I imagine.

Thanks guys, as I said I never usually lose it, but his attitude pee'd me off. Anyway, I don't have to go back for another three weeks, and the sight is great, so......good result :-)2013 NSD challenge 3/100

then - write a note in your diary for the day you go - 'the puffy one is the second machine, in the room on the left hand side when you go for your checkup'.If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -

You are so right, hieveryone, but he made me jump, and I was kind of thrown off balance for a second. But whenever I have had these tests, they always tell you what to expect.....So, I didn't expect it one bit, and it came as a complete surprise, and it was really unpleasant. He should have said 'sorry, i should have warned you', then I would have said 'no problem, carry on'......I nwould recommend them though, they were great.2013 NSD challenge 3/100 -
Because of a history of glaucoma (both my parents) I have a free check-up at Specsavers every 12 months (and they nag me like hell if I miss it.)
Every check-up involves, amongst a raft of other tests, the puff of air into each eyeball, and though I know what's to happen when I sit in front of that particular machine, the assistant always -- *always* -- explains the upcoming procedure.
A moron indifferent to customer / patient care has no business being in the healthcare business. Hopefully the OP's justified criticism will soon have him learning lessons in empathy from staff at his local JobCentre.0 -

You never know, he might be posting on the forum in a while...
'Guys, had a really bad day at work.. I've only been in the job a few weeks and this really nice looking lady came in. Anyway, I got a bit flustered and puffed the air in her eyes without warning her. She got right snooty with me and I totally froze up and went to get someone else to deal with her. I feel terrible that I might have hurt her eyes....what should I do?'
