Only if the services you have are going up in price.charlie792 wrote: »this is a joke....When I first joined Virgin I was paying £27 a month now its at £32 these price rises take it to almost £34....worst of all Ive still got another 6 months left of the contract otherwise Id cancel
Doesn't matter how long you've got left - if the price rises affect your services you are entitled to cancel with no fee.0 -

Switched off one day, switched on the next.Waddle you do eh?0 -

Hi all,
Does anyone know if under these T&Cs I can cancel my whole virginmedia package / bundle (broadband, tv, phone) if only my broadband has been increased by 75p as part of the price increase in April? I have only been 7 months in my 12 month contract, but moving out of my current place into somewhere already with virgin and don't want to have to pay remainder of about £150. I understand that I could cancel my broadband but ideally need to cancel all and want to find out before I initially contact them.
I was also thinking if I was to upgrade my other services (tv, phone) now would they be subject to price increase now or in April and could I possibly risk doing that then cancelling them all within 30 days after the price increase comes into affect.
If anyone can help me out or explain the best thing to do I'd be so grateful before I draft the letter or ring them and when do I need to do this by?
Thanks in advance.

You're only allowed to cancel affected services, so you can only really cancel broadband.
As far as upgrading your other services goes, just so you can cancel, I would be amazed if they let you do it.0 -

Only if you ordered the services separately.
If you bought it as a package, and any part changes, then the package has changed
and you cancel the package, unless you and they agree a different contract.0 -

all other broadband comes down the BT line whether paying that line rental to someone like sky with there own equipment in the bt exchange the only other option would be satellite internet but is usually very very expensive but have a look for yourself. cost will be about £200 for gear and about £25 a month so broken down would work out about £41 a month but have to pay up front for gear.

so in a nutshell you going to have to pay line rental or hack someones wifi near you in order to get broadband.0 -

We have VM broadband & TV but no landline. So yes it is possible.
However the price has just gone up to £38 from £36 and i think i could get it cheaper elsewhere (hence was viewing this thread!)=====================================
