  • It is now the 3rd March 2011 and Tucan Claims promised to phone my friend last week.

    They still have not phoned.

I am awaiting a response to my email from them asking them why they have not phoned her as promised themselves.

I sent two emails last week requesting the directors details and contact number and they have ignored me AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really hope NO ONE else EVER uses this Claim company , because they are a waste of time and money.

They should be closed down , I am very angry with them for the way they have treated my friend.

    There Customer Service is appalling.

Tucan Claims are defintely a scam company- I would like other people to be aware.

PLEASE DO NOT USE TUCAN CLAIMS AS ITS A SCAM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Yes, I agree

I am only speaking about Tucan Claims because other companies maybe fine.

My friend has received bad customer service from Tucan Claims and therefore as we have had a bad experience with them , I wanted to comment on it.

So best not to confuse the issue and get other companies involved unless of course a bad experience has taken place.
  • Also,
    I just wanted to add,
I probably would not or ever use a claims company and I certainly will not be using Tucan Claims
My friend WAS NOT greedy , she was just a bit navie. She was in a terrible personal situation and thought they would help her.
Had she spoken to me first, I would her advised her against it.

I feel the Tucan Claim sales person took advantage of my friend and they should not be allowed to cold call anyone.

first & foremost my husband & i are not greedy people we have worked hard all our lives & have an excellent credit rating we have always paid our debts. we are nice people & to my regret we are very trusting we got involved with a very unscrupulous time share company who weedled in excess of £43.000 out of us through charismatic sales people with rather dubious tactics. we were at our wits end when Tucan contacted us promising they would retrieve this money plus our credit card & other loans that we were probably miss sold. having never chased a loan company we were very vulnerable these people said they were working with the government & were registered we TRUSTED them paid the £249.99. i sent them an email in December but have not heard from them since they do not answer their phone.
WE DO NOT TRUST ANYONE ANY MORE EVEN SOLICITORS THE ARE ALL AFTER THE SAME THING OUR HARD EARNED MONEY.
my husband is approaching retirement we are broke with little hope of getting any of our money back.:(

    Tucan are not solicitors.

You have probably managed to find your name input on to a mugs list which is then sold around to others. That is a very common problem for people that have fallen for one scam or dodgy business. They then are seen as easy prey for others. You should never do business with people that cold call you. If you stick to that rule of the thumb you will avoid most scams.

What a shame another person ripped off,i really feel for you,i know how it feels,it is so wrong that tucan claims can still do this to people and it seems no one can help.Tucan claims need to be stopped permanently, like yourselves we are not bad people and that is why we are so trusting of others.Go to watchdog their number etc is on the web, this is what everyone who has been conned by Tucan claims should do.The people behind this scam should be utterly ashamed of themselves. Also look up John Mann MP on your computer and send him a email, the more people that does this the better.

I had a phone call from a bloke called "Garvin" or "Gavin" he said that he was from "Dukem Claims" (that's what it sounded like) he asked me if my credit card company had informed me they were going to increase my credit card limit; if they didn't then I would get a minimum of £2500 compensation. I said I couldn't remember so he put his supervisor on.

I eventually ascertained from the "Supervisor" that it was "Tucan Claims", he said you’ve probably heard of us, I said I hadn't; although I understand a Toucan is some kind of bird. I "Googled" Tucan Claims and found the comments here :undecided.

I asked if I had to pay any fee but he said there is no fee to pay. He started talking about my bank; I asked why he was going on about my bank when it was the credit card company who were going to pay. He waffled on a bit without really explaining it. He also told me they were a Government Body. Hmm.

There was also an echo on the line which was annoying .

When he asked for the long number on my credit card I decided to end the call; he rang back but I didn't pick up.

These people have an 0845 number, are BT bothered about who gets allocated these numbers or what?

If I'm going to put a claim in against Capital One I want to make sure I do actually have a case. I'm fairly certain that Tucan Claims are not a Government Body.

Increases in your credit limit are not something that you can claim money back on. That is total BS.

Tucan are not a govt body and if its free why did they want your credit card? All sounds rather dodgy.
