A couple of things I'd add here:

a) if you are using Sky Player on your Xbox this will stop anyone else using it on another computer (at the same time), and vice versa. So, if your housemates want to watch it on their computer they won't be able to do so at the same time as you. To imply there is no negative impact on your other housemates isn't necessarily true. Also, only one Xbox can be registered on the account - if one of them gets one they cannot get Sky Player. Again - there is some loss of value to them here.

b) It is a limited set of channels, so not sure a 3 way split is entirely fair either.

Personally, I'd say chuck in an extra fiver to the communal pot, or buy them a drink each. Simples.

I think it's a lot of fuss about nothing- why not put £10 worth of beer in fridge for sharing & then everyone should be happy!
