Aren't standard bottles 500ml, and a pint is about 500ml, so half a bottle? Although in this heat it shouldn't be hard! Good luck!0

I have to drink half a pint of water within the hour before. Does anyone know how much of a standard bottle of water that is?
Not sure but that's all I've ever drunk and it's been fine

i wish even in this heat it would be easier to drink water, but i am still hating the taste.
i had forgotten that these scans require a full bladder. how weird. so exciting though.. eek. good luck lady M.
i am not sure how much half a pint is though? it doesnt look too much considering a pint of beer isnt that much.i would end up drinking more than less to be on the safe side and then die to go the loo.

Yup, my appointment was at 3 and we got in at 4 - they were going to do blood pressure and blood tests etc first but I explained that I was very nervous and why, and they said they'd scan me first. So they scanned me and took blood, but the baby was moving too much so they tried the trans-vaginal one and it still didn't work, so they tried my stomach again then sent me off to have a walk and a cold, sweet fizzy drink to move the baby. We did that at 5, then were back in at 5.40, and baby had fallen asleep but was in the most awkward position so I went to empty my bladder but it still wasn't playing ball. We were sent off for another walk at 6.15, got back in there at about 6.45 and by about 7.10 they got what they wanted but then we had to wait around for the NT results to be calculated and given to us. All the results were fine but we didn't get out of there until about 7.30 in the end. Mission!
It was really reassuring to see the baby moving around so much though, and excitingAt one point it stretched like a cat - on its tummy with its arms out in front of it, it was so funny!

Squash would probably be ok too - just half a pint of liquid. It's one of those normal highball glasses, or a small bottle of water.
It depends where you go though, my scan didn't require a full bladder.0 -

Ok, so they have given you your NT results already? I know what our measurement was (could see it on the screen) but was told that the blood test and the measurement would be combined and I'd be told via phone in a few days (if it was bad news) or by post in a week or two (if it was good). Our scanner also had to do some work to get that measurement as baby didn't want to play ball with lying in the correct position for that, but she did eventually manage! I couldn't believe with all that hopping about (and your baby sounds more active than mine!) that I couldn't feel a thing!!0
