Rups, I constantly feel like I’ve just eaten a massive meal, especially when I go to bed at night, even though it might be 4-5 hours since I had my tea! It has got better, but was particularly bad around weeks 6-7 when I was incredibly bloated and a bit constipated :o I was often sick at bedtime, as my dinner just wasn’t digesting properly. I started eating a handful of dried apricots every morning (yum!), and made sure I got as much fruit as I could face and it’s eased off a bit now. I also lived mainly on toast, and cheese and crackers, plus jelly sweets etc as I wanted to pack a few more calories into the small amount I could eat. I still can’t eat large meals, so have cut down the size of my meals and have snacks mid morning and afternoon. Hope that helps :)

thanks littlemoog. that did help. i think i must find some healthier options if i can as eating all this junk is surely not that good...just need something to like and is healthy.. i might get a little greek salad and see if that might help? feta is lovely. :)

Jacket potato with cottage cheese in is nice, not too heavy, and healthy Rups - depends if you "do" cottage cheese though as I know it's an acquired taste and texture.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Good luck for your scan Kavics. xx we are thinking of you. please let us know how it went. xx hugs

last night when i went home, i got a letter and thought it was an appointment letter for the midwife. i snatched it off DH to find it was my maternity exemption certificate. i was happy but disappointed too. why does it take ages to sort out an appointment with a MW? :( i dont know how i will be able to wait for a scan one too!!!

also when i got home, i was so bloated and my belly felt like i had eaten a massive meal, which i hadnt. has anyone felt like that where they feel they have eaten and yet they havent. i felt very uncomfortable. :( i made some chick peas and rice and then couldnt eat it. had toast before that. before bed i had 3 rice crackers. had some random dreams again too. :)

i am so cold and miserable today. i really cant stand this weather!!! :(

The midwife won't see you before 8 weeks, rups. It might be anything up to 10 weeks before you see her so plenty of time yet.

Rups, I think I'm going to try my 'chicken surprise' (so named because I invented it myself without a recipe and haven't written one down, so it's always a little different). It's essentially noodle with chicken, which has got honey, ginger and soy sauce - and sesame seeds (that's what makes it really good for me). I figure with my carb cravings it'll go down well and at least I'll get some protein at the same time! Also easy to reheat so will try taking it to work to eat there. The sesame seeds soak up the sauce over time as well and get even better.
I'm also liking crackers and hoummous at the moment. It's the constant snacking that's the problem, if I don't surround myself with good options to eat I'll just keep eating not-so-healthy ones!
