Oh my.. I think I have worms... today I the first day in 3 weeks I've not felt nauseus and I have just stuffed my fat greedy face..

since 6pm.. Pork casserole with new potatoes.. then 2 fried eggs, beans, sausages and toast.. and a WHOLE battenburg and 2 packets of wotsits to get rid of the sugary taste .. and I want mint vientetta.. but we have none so I am considering sending DS1 to the shop for chips.. and vienetta... I am a heifer....

skintchick I am so sorry to hear your news I so hope that baby doubles in size and develops a heartbeat. Take care of yourself hun x

I'm off to Cardiff UHW on Monday to have a scan in the Fetal Medicine department. After my bleed at 15 weeks they discovered my amniotic fluid is only 2-3cm deep when it should be 5cm and above I went for a scan at my antenatal clinic on Monday and the fluid was the same. Luckily baby is still growing and is ok target for its gestation but they could only find one kidney. I've been given lots of possible explanations for what's happening, the most encouraging is because of baby's position it was 'hiding' the kidney or baby has one kidney. The rest, I don't want to think about

It makes sense now why my baby stays curled up and doesn't move around a lot as there's not enough fluid to be moving as much as other babies with normal fluid (though he/she was kicking away on Monday). I feel so useless at the mo, I'd been told drinking water helps with replenishing amniotic fluid and got told by my consultant that it does !!!!!! all. Sigh

I got a picture, it's not very good though. It's of baby's head, back and you can just see its hands waving about above its head.

Sequeena.. focus on.. at the moment the baby is absolutely fine and thriving.. one kidney is plenty.. any more is just excessive.. they also said OH had ony 1 kidney and when scanned after birth they found the other one.. and the same happened to my friends baby girl. It is possible some amniotic fluid leaked out when you had the bleed.. BUT, as happened with my cousins little girl the membranes can repair and the fluid replenish. When I had DS3 a lady on the ward was 30 weeks pregnant and had been in there for weeks following her waters breaking entirely at 15 weeks and her baby was absolutely fine. It doesn't have to be a horror story ending.. it can all still be just fine.

I am clutching at straws and hoping it will be OK, but the reality is I tested positive on Jan 25 with a Clearblue Digital which said 1-2 weeks pregnant, and we only had sex once. So I can;t be 6 weeks pregnant, even with a 35-day, irregular cycle.

Am desperately trying to believe we will get a miracle, and wondering how the hell I will get through the next week without going mad.

Oh sweetie, how awful for you. Such a long long wait. I have no advice on how to get through the next week - I've been there myself and I know how difficult it is. Make sure you and your OH look after each other and try to rest up. I'm hoping so so much that your baby doubles in size and his heart starts to beat. Bless you.

I'm exactly the same (although I've never been for 2 cooked meals in one night!!). I just can't stop eating. It's 7:50am, I've had my morning cereals and I'm about to go down the the kitchen at work to see if there's any food I can eat!!

Sequeena - your baby is still growing at the correct rate - focus on that. Everything crossed for you.

I'm feeling more positive today. My scan is tomorrow and it's within reaching distance now - one day at work to get done and then it's here. Either way, I'll know. Doubt I'll get much sleep tonight though.

SCAN DAY TODAY
well after a crap nights sleep i'm up, but definately not raring to go. my little girl had her insulin for her diabetes changed so i put her in bed with me last night so i could check her regular, she had a hypo, which i missed and feel awful about, then the rest of the night she had spread out so much all i was left with was the edge of the bed and the threat of one wrong move and me falling out, lol, little madam!
OH is working this morning and wont be there with us for our scan but as it's the 3rd i didnt feel the need to force him to take the time off (unpaid).
hopefully if theres no waiting, this time in 2 hours i'll of seen the munchkin

Is everyone else having early scans? I feel like I am the only one waiting until my free NHS one. We were going to go for an early one just for peace of mind but never got round to booking it, and dont see the point now that I am 9+4.

I have my first scan next Friday the 11th. The day before my 30th bday. So excited but very nervous after hearing a few of your stories.
Finally I'll get to find out how old bean is. Next week I'm either 9 weeks or 12 weeks.

flower.. I won't have an extra scan unless I have bleeding and go to EPU I am way too skint to pay for it.. £85 here!!! I like my state of denial..

I've waited for my NHS one this time round - last time I had 4 early scans - didn't help me though!!

Can't believe I'm 12 weeks tomorrow - I don't want to leave you guys!
