Vicks on ur chest. I went a bit mad today despite saying no buying maternity clothes until after scan. I put on my swimming costume this morning and couldnt breathe so went Hunting for maternity one. Ended up In Jojo maman bebe with two skirts lol. But they were reduced to fourteen quid for the two. Also a maternity swimming suit but that was bloody £30 in mamas and papas raging!! So tore this weekend!

i saw the sale rale in mothercare and walked on by lol i am hoping not to have to wear mat clothes till about 20 - 22 weeks, some people can just cope with those trouser adjusters.

i am a regular swimming too and hope to put off buying a mat costume till a few more months

  • Hi all, thought i'd better give you all an update after my rather panicked posting the other weekend......

So I contacted the midwife regarding the bleeding and she moved my booking in appointment forward to the Monday (should have been the Thursday) so I could see her and after all the form filling in and a phone call to Maternity I had to go for an early scan..... Luckily all is ok with baby and we both got a little weepy. They did say that I have a dark area of haemorrhage on the outwide of the sac which is likely to be causing the bleeding and to just monitor for any change etc. Now addicted to looking at the scan piccy and waiting for dating scan on 7th Feb. In the mean time still packing for a house move at the end of the month in between working full time and doing my MA....... talk about busy!!!

  • hey

best of luck for rups tomorrow, will be thinking of you.

i definately noticed my nausea symptoms improving in week 8 - 9, so hopefully its the same for some of you ladies.

had my last day at my job today, was sad to say goodbye and i so wanted to tell people i was pregnant but waiting till after scan, will tell them at my leaving meal on 31st :)
start my new job tomorrow, only my manager knows i am pregnant, will break the news to more people after scan.

measured myself today, another cm on around the belly....if i continue at this rate i will be very obviously showing in the next few weeks (only 11+1 today) still hope that everythings fine, a little doubt inside me until i can get scan.

was tired yesterday and headed for bed at 9.30, therefore need to catch up on sherlock tonight.

    Evening all,

Had my doctors appointment on Friday. DH came with me and it was so funny because the two patients who went in before me were both couples who came out smiling. When I told the doc I was pg he said "another one!". I think there is going to be a baby boom in my area in September! I have to book my first appointment with the midwife in a couple of weeks when I will be 8 weeks. Can't wait.

We also told our parents the news on Sunday. My mom cried! I've never seen her cry with happiness before, ever. She was so chuffed. DH's parents were also thrilled. We thought it might not be such a big deal to them as they have 3 grandkids already but FIL was so sweet. He said this one's different because it will be their baby's baby (DH is youngest of 3). I can't wait to be able to tell the rest of our friends and family but we're going to wait until after the first scan.

My symptoms seem to have subsided now too. I'm no longer feeling nauseous and I'm not getting the back and stomach ache that I had for the first 5 weeks. It's nice to feel well but a little disconcerting too - when I was suffering a bit at least I knew I was pg iyswim?

for those ladies feeling a bit bunged up, I have found having a drink handy helps, I keep getting a bit 'claggy' in the mouth and nose through the night and just keep sipping water which seems to help. Maybe worth a go?

Scan on Fri, still feeling like utter poop, but got some sanatogen vits today to replace my basic folic acid, so hopefully they will boost me a bit. really need to wash my hair but I can't be bothered. will drag my butt into bed to avoid the mahoosive pile of ironing I haven't done over the weekend.

The whole sex thing, I must admit feeling rough has put me off majorly, but I found in second trimester last time I was raging! Hoping for my mojo to come back soon!

Good luck for tomorrow Rups and glad all ok purplesmiler,

I think I just actually have the cold and no more liquids are going into my body lol I'm fed up with peeing!! Still can't believe this tiredness. Was not this tired last time lol. Got a dream genii pillow from eBay and tested it on my morning nap and I think I might be on love!!! Ah well off to Uni now for an afternoon of slavery :)
