Second tri is easy peasy, it's when you get to the third you want to cry. I was awake and alert and full of energy with my second tri, first and third I've wanted to just stick my head under a pillow and not wake up :D

Don't listen to anyone, the only thing that helped me when I was having raging migraines and stuff was to have positive thinking, it's really helped me throughout pregnancy :) xx

I just had a read through all the "what are you entitled to" stuff. Confused.com. That's something I will leave till way in the future when I know I actually have to confront it. Ha ha.

    Welcome to all the newbies!

Sorry ladies but need to have a rant. I've had a very unpleasant first trimester, I've tried not to moan about it as it took us over a year of trying to get here and I've been trying to enjoy it as best I can. !We went out with DHs friend and his fianc! on Thursday night(she's 29 weeks with her first). She asked me how I was finding pregnancy. So trying to be positive as I could be I said it hasn't been very enjoyable a but I'm taking things one day at a time and it does seem to be getting easier. To which she replied "well if you can't cope now, I don't know how you ever going to cope with the second trimester, let alone the third and definitely not the birth". !She went on to tell me how I'm going to have a horrific labour and birth as I'm not walking for 30 minutes a day.!

We moved at the end of October as my husband got offered a job he really wanted, which meant I had to resign, my contract was nearly finished anyway, so seemed the obvious thing to do, I haven't be able to find anything in the mean time. She, of course, had something to say about that: "You must feel like slitting your wrists stuck at home all day".!

I want to talk to DH about it, but I know he tell me that I'm just being sensitive, but it's got me really upset and angry, pregnancy is hard enough without having someone you hardly know put a damper on things and predict bad things for you.!

Hope everyone has a fantastic week! :-)

    That's aweful,

Everyone knows the 2nd trimester is meant to be easier so that has no basis (will add it is supposed to be as everyone is different)

I am unfit and don't walk the required 30mins a day although will try to this time and birth was fine, i was even walking around a couple of hours after with no tearing etc.

This woman sounds as though the only way to make herself feel better is to make people feel bad. 'Oh look how well I am doing'

Sorry in a complainy mood with nothing to complain about so will jump on your cause :D

Thanks for your replies everyone, made me feel a lot better, was beginning to wonder what I'd gotten myself into! I will be avoiding her for the rest of my pregnancy and probably after that, because no doubt she'll have opinions of how I should be caring for my baby.

all i can say is what a horrible insensitive person she is. not everyones pregnancy is the same, my first trimester hasnt been that bad compared to others i dont think. i am trying to stay positive thinking, i will have a great pregnancy and the birth will go well, i think negative thoughts attact negative situations, something like that.

anyway, my point is, ignore her lol

i am 10+6 today and feeling so near to the end of 1st trimester i can almost touch it. i am feeling pretty good, coping ok with a bit of tiredness, sore boobs, aching in the belly, eating constantly....my husband is being really supportive taking on more around the house and generally treating me great :)

went into mothercare today to see if they have any i love grandma bibs cos we are going to wrap them up for the grandmas to open and thats how they will find out but they didnt have any, going to order them off amazon. some great stuff in mothercare, could spend all day walking around in there but made sure it was only 10 mins hehe

12+5 technically now in 2nd trim. I feel no different! LOL. In fact I feel worse than I have at some points in 1st. I just have no energy. Went to town and got half way round and had to wait outside shops sitting down. Just not a scrap of energy still :(.

Robyn, what a biatch! Glad u will be avoiding like the plague, poisonous people really irritate me!

Rebekah, hope you start to feel better soon, hopefully it won't take too long.

I feel proper poop, and have done for most of this Pg, can't remember this bad with No1, but maybe I have rose tinted specs on? Had 2 lunches today as so hungry I felt ill, just had a big mac, nuggets and mcflurry for tea which has appeared to fill me up, which makes a nice change. Even though I am eating tonnes I have lost a teeny bit of weight so I guess its just what I need to do.

Had a weird dream last night, the baby was moving around in my tummy and you could see it trying to get through my skin, right down to the fingers and toes, and DD was trying to pick her up ( out of my tummy) and kept pinching it and I was sorrying about it getting hurt. Always have bizarre dreams, they just step up a gear when PG.

Have scan on Friday, looking forward to it, just hope everything is OK.

Hope everyone else is good and enjoy your weekends!
