i had a crappy night last night, work up at 3pm to go loo, could not get back to sleep for 2 hours, lower back aching now which i think might be preg related.

i am such a maggot at the moment, i am surprised people at work havent noticed.

blood results came back as normal although i forgot to ask my blood type as i dont know it

scan day tomorrow for you rebekah :) bet you cant wait! i still have just under 3 weeks to wait grr

be strong people, hopefully these symptoms are only till week 12!

    Laura

I was awake four an hour last night after a horrible dream so I popped on here and chatted to some of the night owls on the TTC thread.

They should put your blood type in your notes for you.

    xx

LOL. YAY. I'm scared more than excited tbh! After that bleeding. Just to know all is ok and find out more about heart shaped uterus. The first you will see of me will be when I have been as appointment at 930am. *Shudder* ~ Early morning ~ *Shudder*

I don't really follow this thread anymore, just pop in from time to time, but it's fantastic to see so many of the TTC ladies I was trying with all here. I'm especially excited for those of you who've had such a horrible time with losses last year to have such a brilliant start to 2012. Can't wait to get chatting to you on the big pregnancy thread when the first scan is past and things feel a bit more real x

  • I've been having some really horrible nightmare's about getting a mean midwife. So I'm feeling really worked up and upset :(
I've already promised myself and bump I will fight for my say a lot harder than with DD. but I already feel older and wiser with this pregnancy. I think I'm just afraid of history repeating, plus I'm extremely anti medicine anyway. If I had it my way I would have 1 scan for dating and not bother with anything else till the big day. Even then I'd want this one at home, I am not setting foot in hospital this time barring scans.
Sorry I'm getting ranty. It's so lovely to come here and just feel supported. Love you guys.

    Good luck today Rebekah

Fishcake I'm sure you probably know this as you've had a child before but I thought I'd mention it in case anyone else has similar feelings to you, you don't have to have any of the scans or any other test, they are all optional (there's some information here and here about it).
I personally will be having all the scans they give me (and would happily have more ;)) but that's because of my past experiences. I won't be however having all the tests, for example the test for downs syndrome. There is a lot more choice than people realise. Although I'm sure medical professionals may add pressure to people who opt out of some tests or scans. And of course it depends on how your OH feels too.

  • I love this thread, so glad I found it, it's nice to see what everyone else goes through and what I can (hopefully) expect. Just an update on the doctor-front, I called them today, the doctor doesn't see you, you just go and fill out a form at reception to register you with a midwife. How underwhelming! I know it's not an illness of course and doctors are busy, but I just want it to feel real! I'm only a couple of weeks, and not due on till next week. Don't feel like I should be allowed to think about it till at least the end of next week or so. Plus I really want to tell my parents but I daren't for a while just incase.

morning all.. took me a while finding this thread again esp as the IT woman from India got rid of my history and my websites!! grrr.. so ok i am here now.. :p

    good luck rebekah! *hug*

fishcake dont worry about stuff.. I admit i gave myself a fright last night watching 'one born every minute' and one woman was in agony. Her hubby was so sweet and she was just in pain and screaming and her pain was her being scared as her previous birth was a weird experience for her. her MW was so sweet though and she calmed her down, so we all have to remember to be calm and take those deep breaths. :) i want to start meditating as we do that in our kung fu class and the affects of it is amazing and calmness.

i have been calming myself at work as its getting so busy, and i am still 'training' on the job so i tend to get overwhelmed very quickkly!! *sigh*

working from home tomorrow, as got to see MW at 9.30! yay! hope all is ok when i explain the scan stuff to her.. *praying started again*. :)

had a weird back ache yest that stopped later but my muscle in my butt has started being a funny. only one cheek though. hehe..

also i am having the sicky feeling, weird taste, so iam hoping all is ok with bubs? something to get me going till the scan?
ok i must stop now. :)
    xx
