Nope we got told at the early antenatal that youd get a letter from your midwife and shed be the midwife youd see for every appointment (unless shes off sick or on holiday) something about continuity of care

Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together0 -
Oh well if that's the case don't let the miserable cowbag ruin the experience for you!
Maybe she's just not very good on the phone.

I've not had IVF so can't tell you anything specifically but I have had some spotting as have a fair few of the ladies on here. It is very common even in pregnancies that were conceived without medical intervention. If she's really concerned can she contact the doctor who has been doing the IVF, if not her local EPU (early pregnancy unit) or even A&E can have a look at her and offer some advice/reassurance.

ETA cramping is very common in early pregnancy it the uterus starting to expand. If it's unbearable though she should get it checked out.:A 09.06.11:A 07.10.11:A

Hi everyone,
I did a home test on Tuesday and it was positive. Hubby and I are delighted! We've only been trying for 1 month! Went to clinic on Friday and doc says I am almost 5 weeks ( so now 5 weeks + 1 day).
So so happy, but also so worried - Before hubbie and I were married we had an unplanned pregnancy which ended in miscarraige at around 6 weeks. Getting past that milestone will be my first goal.
Trying to use common sense to work out all the abbreviations - if anyone has time perhaps you could direct me / re-post / PM what they mean?

Hi G>C
Congrats on the BFP (big fat positive aka positive test)!
Any abbreviation is particular you mean?0 -

 hello and congratulations!
I understand your worry I too had a mc around 6 weeks with my first. It does make an uncertain time more worrying. Try your best to relax (easier said than done I know) as stress is not good for beanie.
Hmmmm I can't think of any abbreviations that we use off the top of my head. We use a lot less than the TTC (trying to concieve) thread. Have you got any in particular that you have seen?

my in-laws are being the opposite. my MIL already has a whole shelf in her wardrobe full of baby clothes and i had to pull her away from buying a cot today.
it's lovely of her but it puts so much pressure on me because if it doesn't go to plan i will feel very guilty about it, that and being devastated myself, it wouldn't be nice0 -
Hi guys,
Thanks for the congrats! I am bursting to tell people already - my mum had a dream that I was pregnant and I just said "oh right" - I'm afraid to tell anyone just in case.
The abbreviations - I read the first ten pages or so and thought there were I few but I can't see them now! BFP was one I suppose, and PIL another.
BFP - Big fat positive - got that now thanks!
Lets hope this one is a sticky (love that term)
