Oh sorry Emsbet. But so you know, i'm constantly getting pains and stitches. I put it down to my body going through this enormous change, plus being very constipated! All has been ok at my scans, so know its just my body adjusting x

Thanks Mozzy. I know I was probably being silly, my imaginations gets the better of me :o

Sorry to bang on again but does anyone know if I would be able to request an early scan because of my chemical last month. And if so at what date are they actually able to see something on the scan.
Thanks for all being so lovely

You can always ask. I've been offered one because I had a small amount of brown discharge over the weekend but even if I hadn't I would have asked for one because I had a mc last time.

The earliest they will do it is usually around 6weeks as before that it's unlikely you will see a heartbeat. Some may even do it later- I know private companies won't do it until 8weeks.

Ask you dr and tell them what happened and how you are concerned and they might be sympathetic and book you one

My midwife wasn't sympathetic with me despite going on holiday, said it would be the 12 - 14 weeks mark!

    Good luck

A chemical pregnancy is where the egg is fertilised but fails to implant or doesn't implant properly. It is an early mc.

I'm sitting at work having another panic. Just when I was feeling positive again!
I went to the loo and found some more brown discharge -it's not dark this time it's a light brown. I'm not in any pain but I am in a right state. :(
I don't have my appointment for the early scan yet and my doctor said the midwife would be in contact to arrange it so I don't know who I would call to see if they could make it earlier.

OH Emsbet. Poor you, up and down! Have you looked up the info for the local EPU or even given them a ring? Some will let you self refer if you have had a recent M/c, which bypasses the doc/midwife thing. Or see what they need to let you go down. If its a referral from your GP or midwife, then you can chase them up. Usually EPU's will gvie appointments within a few days, rather than waiting in the normal scan queue.
