Ok, I've done it :j
I've booked an early private scan for next week (£90). I really just want re-assurance, as I get more and more attached to my little beany as every day passes. So, booking in appointment on Monday and scan on Wednesday next week...... Tomorrow marks 7 weeks for us. Every day is a little milestone acheived
Anyone else changing their sleeping habits? (as well as the naps - lol). I'm trying to sleep more on my left as I've read it helps blood flow to the placenta. I used to sleep mostly on my back. I guess as we all get bigger, sleeping on your side might make it more comfortable.......TTC #3..........0 -
Hi twigpig! Yay, 7 weeks for me too
Nice you've got an early scan, I've thought about it, but DH says leave it. Would be nice to know for sure though, coz besides being bloated, I don't feel pregnant!
I've also started sleeping on my left side mainly, and when fed up with that, my right side. My best friend has given me her pregnancy pillow. Will use that later on (hopefully!)DFD February 2012

Not actually got my scan date yet mozzy, but it'll be in the next 3 - 5 weeks, if they do it between 11 and 13.
I've been trying to sleep on my left side, but out of habit I sleep on my right so I normally find myself on my right side when I wake up. Not exactly much I can do about it though! My friend is about 28 weeks pregnant and is really struggling with sleep as she's always slept on her front! I think I might look into getting one of those body pillows or something at a later date, as they look really comfyHas anyone seen them anywhere for a good price? Might look on Dunelm or something...

The scan was amazing, in terms of seeing the little one, but hurt at the time and I feel today like someone has been thumping me in the stomach. Almost certainly my fault for carrying too much flab on the front so she really had to go digging to see anything!!
I can totally understand wanting an early scan, especially if you haven't got many symptoms, but after yesterday I don't think I'd want to go early and make it even harder for them to see inside. Probably a good incentive to try and lose some weight if number two is ever an idea!
The other pain from yesterday was the bloods. She had several attempts, thankfully got one vial so part 1 of the downs can be done, and had to admit defeat on getting any more blood from me. I am now labelled as a 'difficult bleeder' in my maternity notes, and have to go to the special blood unit at the hospital to have the 2nd downs bloods and all my others taken at 15 weeks or so.
Sorry - I know I shouldn't be complaining, I saw the baby wriggling which was probably the best thing I've ever seen in my life, and DH can't stop smiling about it, but dammit, I feel poked and prodded today, it's not even done with, and I'm at work with no-one to complain to about it all - so I'm gonna have to do it on here!:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Hello all, sorry but I need a rant as you ladies know there are not that many you can rant to at the mo.
Was looking out the window and noticed a chap was spreading granules on next doors lawn, then he came back with a sprayer and proceeded to start spraying next doors lawn. We are a semi and I had the house windows open as I find it stops me feeling so sick. So intelligently I stuck my head out the window shouted I am pregnant (without thinking) what are you spraying etc he said 'its only weedkiller' whilst I inhaled the
bl:mad::mad:dy fumes  It does not take much to tip me over the edge at the mo as have previously had a mc so you can imagine the things I have now been googling. To be fair my neighbour normally lets me know when he is doing stuff but the one time I really needed to know he doesnt mention anything and obviously he does not know that I am pregnant
Hope you are all having a better afternoon than me x0 -
Thanks for the messages of support ladies, its nice to have people listen and care.
I'm feeling a little better today, I'm not crying constantly anymore, just when I see something that reminds me of my lovely boy. My hubby has been wonderful, brought me some lovely flowers, made me a boiled egg and toast.
I've was going a bit mad last week with crazy pregnancy hormones, now I just feel sad all the time - not sure what my poor long suffering hubby finds worse!
Anyway I've got my midwife app a week next Thursday, I'll be 7 weeks gone then. At my surgery its not procedure to see a Doctor to confirm your pregnancy, just straight in with the midwife.
Hope everyone is ok, and looking forward to a nice weekend.

Kira - oooh, where did you opt for. I didn't realise there was really another option. Kingston is literally 10min away from me. But we will be moving at some stage soon to rent a 2 bedroom flat somewhere.
Having said all this, just back from a horrific morning at the hospital for my scan and consultant appintment. Got there at 11.15 for an 11.45 scan appointment, bladder fullness planned accordingly. Shortly before my appointment they announced a delay to scans of 45mins. I eventually got called at 12.45, with a bladder fit to burst, SOOO painful. Was told to go let some go, which was a relief. And then sent to lose some more cos they still couldnt see properly.
Came out and told to wait for my bloods to be taken, at which point, the midwife realised i hadnt seen the consultant either, they forgot me! Eventually left the hospital at 2! By which point, very very hungry, tired, and teary!
Hey ho! Been booked in for some extra appointments as my BMI is higher than desirable, but i'd prefer more than less, if its to make sure beanie is OK.
The scan itself was fine. Crabapple, i know what you mean about the jabbing and poking! Beanie was bouncing all over the place again. The midwife was struggling to get measurements as "he" was wiggling so much!Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Crabapple - moan away!!!! I'd rather moan here than have to put my DH through anymore of my mood swings haha And I think you'll get more understanding here. My best friend has already warned me that I will be prodded etc all through pregnancy. Not too sure about the pillows, but worth seeing if there are any money off vouchers for them for new expectant mothers? You never know...
Ro - I understand that. We have to be extra careful with our bumps!!! Someone here had a smoke machine in work the other day, and I panicked a bit too. Its our mother instinct to protect and make sure we stay as healthy as can be.
Janninew - so glad you feeling better. It'll take time, and sounds like you have a super supportive hubby, which is great. Stay strongDFD February 2012

Thanks Kira - just wanted to make sure you hadn't heard anything horrific about Kingston haha.
Frimley Park looks great, but just to far for us i'm afraid. I don't drive, so DH has to take me.
Might do some googling on Kingston for a bit....DFD February 2012

Happy weekend ladies
hope you all have lots of nice things planned.
I've been out shopping all day, not had a nap, first day without one in a while so safe to say I'm knackered! Feet up in bed now being naughty and munching on M&S Strawberry and clotted cream cheesecake, so yummy. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0
