Thanks Ladies,
I've managed a cup of tea and biscuit, better than nothing. I was so happy to be pregnant, now I feel nothing, I know it will get better, but it doesn't feel like it. My boy was a huge part of my life for 9 years and I just can't imagine my house without him.:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

Oh shame Janninew. I've been there. Back in SA we had 2 dogs growing up. They were a huge part of our lives. It's so sad, but as mentioned, of course grieve, but make sure you look after yourself too xDFD February 2012

jannine.. so sad about your woof.. however at 5 weeks the baby is getting its nutrients from the yolk sac and utering lining so you not eating will have no effect on it whatsoever... they are very very good at leeching everything out of you anyway when they get bigger. what will be happening is your blood sugar will get very low and you may feel faint and sick and dizzy so for that reason alone you should eat.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Just back from the hospital, and so pleased. Baby was moving about and we could see the heartbeat. Wasn't in a great place for pictures, but we know what the fuzz on the scans is! It all seems very real now. DH is convinced (for no reason at all) that it is a he, and was referring to 'him' when looking at the pics. Obv no way of telling for quite some time yet!!
Now officially 11+3 and EDD moved forward a little to 2nd Jan.
Jannine - really sorry to hear your news, it's never quite the same when you lose a much loved animal, but it will get easier.:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Hi everyone, hope you're all doing ok?
Jannine - really sorry to hear about your dog, it can't have been an easy decision to have to make. If you go on the Pet Care board there are some threads which may offer you some extra support/comfort if you need it. Take care of yourself hun xx
My booking appointment was fine today, I appear to have passed with flying coloursSo now I just have to wait for my scan date, which will be in about 3 - 5 weeks.

Hi Everyone.
Jannine. so sorry about your pal. I lost one of my beloved cat children last year, and i was distraught, so i can truly empathise. Please do try and get some food, whatever it is, even if its just crud! Like Pigpen said, not eating wont harm baby at the mo, but you will make yourself feel ill if you don't!
Crabapple, congrats on a successful scan, its a big relief isnt it!
Mozzy, so glad you got though on the phone and found you are accepted at Kingston! You must be quite local to me then, as it was one of my closest options (but i was mad and went out of area!).
For all of you waiting for scans, it feels like ages waiting for the weeks to roll around, but it will come quicker than you think! I'm off for my official scan today, so fingers crossed that all is still ok, plus seeing consultant and having my combined screening bloodtest. Hubby taking me this time. I think he is addicted to seeing beanie on the screen now- before the first scan, he wasnt that bothered!
I gave Grandma a copy of our private scan pic on her birthday on weds, and she was chuffed to bits. Said she had her last grandchild 21 years ago, and she's had to wait long to get a great grandchild, so good thing i'd made a start! It appears that all sides of the family want me to have a girl, so they can buy frilly pink clothes, as there havent been any girl babies for a while. I secretly think boy at the mo, but who knows!
Kx

Morning!
Crabapple - glad your scan went well!!! so nice to have an active beanie!!
4nnabella - nice to have a scan date, yay!!!
Kira - oooh, where did you opt for. I didn't realise there was really another option. Kingston is literally 10min away from me. But we will be moving at some stage soon to rent a 2 bedroom flat somewhere. Some of my friends went to West MIddlesex.
Its lovely that you've got so much family support!!! My folks are in South Africa, and my sister is in Australia. I do have my brother near by, but would love for my mum or sister to be here!DFD February 2012
