I'm ready to join too! I got my BFP last Friday (Aprrl Fools day!), rough estimate is coming up on 8 weeks, but since I hadn't had a period since Oct due to PCOS then it really is a rough guess until I get my scan."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

Ooh Deborah that's fantastic!!
Looney and Winnie - glad your scans went well - I've been showing off my pic to everyone at work today. Most people couldn't believe I'd managed to keep it quiet for so long!0 -
Welcome Deborah and Princess!!0

Lovely scan pics ladies
I phoned the fertility centre today to let them know that I won't be needing their assistance anymore and they offered me an early scan at 7 weeks. I think it is because I had an internal scan the day before I got my BFP. The Professor said that it would do no harm if I was pg, but I guess they just want to check. So scan booked in for 21st April when I'll be approx 7 weeks. I can't wait, and I'm absolutely terrified that I'll go and there will be nothing there
I also told my boss today that I am pregnant and he was really nice about it. I'm meeting with him on Monday morning to get my employee maternity info and we need to do a risk assessment for my job.
I've also told some of my friends from work, as due to the nature of my job they would know straight away due to being put on lighter duties, and I wanted to tell them all myself rather than it spreading around the company. Also told some personal friends as no doubt someone from work will mention something on facebook. Everyone has been lovely and very excited, and a few friends cried.
It might be tempting fate, but at the end of the day if something went wrong then everyone would find out anyway, so I can't see a point in me waiting until 12 weeks.
I've also got a Docs appointment for Monday, but I might change that as I don't think I'm seeing the GP that I want to, I forgot to ask which GP I would be seeing.
So with all this sorting of appointments, and spreading the joy with friends I've not got much work done today
AND .... I bought my first pregnancy magazine in Tesco.
DH and I went for fish and chips then ice cream after work, and he was aksing about names, and scans, and which hospital we should go to - aaaaaah ;o)
Hey Debs and congratulations to Princess!0 -
Yay! First post of the day..do I win a prize?
Not much to say but hope everyone is doing well. Fantastic weather here, so heading outside soon. Wishing so much that the outdoor pool was open today.Pick battles big enough to matter, small enough to win. - Jonathan Kozol0 -
Thanks Wonder Womble. I just keep beaming with pride. DH and I couldn't be more pleased with each other. It's a combination of disbelief, fear and bursting to tell the world. I can't sleep and we've had endless cups of decaff at 4am for the last few days! It's springtime and it just feels like the right time to be bringing very much wanted new life into the world. BBs are massive and quite sore and I'm trying to hide them away in case anyone guesses. My hairdresser guessed yesterday because he says he recognises the pregnancy 'shine' in my hair! We're going to tell our parents in 2 weeks. Roll on...0

im glad for the posts on hayfever i am in absolute bits with mine especially these past few days. i do use the lloydspharmacy thing that you stick up your nose and turns it red lol (my kids sing me rudolph the red nose reindeer when im using it). but apart from that the pharmacist told me i couldnt use anything, i think i will ahve to book in with the doctor though to double check, it makes me so tired too.
had my inlaws over from france this week and they have just left to travel back, had all the familly round today for a bbq so just sitting down relaxing now.now proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0 -
hi well Im cross as a cross thing, OH has jut text and said he has been delayed yet another day, so in total 8 days, just burst into tears when I read the text, have been looking forward to him coming back just so so much, and am gutted I've got to spend yet another sleepless night by myself.
Feel horrendously sick too, and there are some stupid girls sitting outside in the bus shelter shouting and giggling, which is really really annoying me, so now I don't know whether to be upset or cross!!
Even more so that we were supposed to be going round OH's mums then to his dads to tell them the good news on monday, but now we cant and OH's mum is going away on tuesday so it will have to wait another week!! And we are supposed to be going away in our new camper on tuesday, but now it has to be put back yet again to wednesday, we were orignally supposed to be going today.
So sorry for moaning but am just so cross and upset, and all my family are 45mins away and its too late to drive there, god I wish I lived closer.0
