Have you been able to work out how far along you are?
PigPen - ooohhh, does your OH not know? Good luck for telling him. Hope he is happy.
Oh gosh no I'm never telling him either.
He won't be happy. He will make my life a misery because he is so dead set against the idea of another. I was using contraception which was obviously not very reliable and I just can't face saying the words to him because I don't want him being an @r$e with me or with the children and I am miserable enough without him making it worse.
He will be as far from pleased or happy as it is humanly possible to get.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Oh PP
So what are you going to do?

Very cute MV.. I am so very pleased for you.
I have this evening worked myself into a flap about telling OH... I don't think I can say the words.
Hi PP, I know not quite the same situation, but with my first I was also petrified of telling my OH. I'd been on the pill, like you, and we'd not been together long. We'd had some ups and downs and the future of the relationship was in the balance even before I fell pg. So I was bricking it thinking he'd do one. In the end, I just told him 'we've had a bit of an accident with the contraception' and he took it quite well. Even though I knew I would'nt get rid of it, I said I wasn't sure what I wanted to do just to buy some time and see where his feelings lay. Luckily he took it quite well and said 'did someone press the fast forward button when we weren't looking?' Now we're back for more, so it worked out - but I do remember being petrified he'd run for the hills when I told him.
Good luck - I'm sure it will be fine.0 -
An9i77 - thanks for posting that. Will have a look on Amazon and get it for DD. Although if there are no flaps or noisy buttons, she may not be interested!
There's the sweetest poem /story about the impending arrival - manages to be funny/entertaining for the adults whilst also suitable for children. I can't wait for DS to become a big brother - although I'm sure there'll be some jealousy at first!0 -

No.. he has still not warmed to the idea of Dot and she is 17 months! But then she is not a pleasant child and still doesn't sleep through!Hi PP, I know not quite the same situation, but with my first I was also petrified of telling my OH. I got away with that the first time, we'd not been together long either. The second time I'd not had a period from having the first one so just assumed (stupidly!) it was down to me not ovulating thanks to the breastfeeding.. I don't think I can get away with it again.
I was convinced mine would do a runner the second I told him. I handed him the clearblue digi so it couldn't be misread.. and said I'll go make a cuppa while you decide what you want to do about 'this' and placed it in his hand and ran away lol. He came down about half an hour later and just hugged me and said if I wanted it we could keep it.. hence Squeak.
I did get severely told after Dot if we were in this position again I had to tell him immediately and not keep it from him as long as possible.. haha!

haha MrsJ..consider my hat well and truly eaten! I think last time I said I'd run naked down the high street...I must stop saying these things!
PP, oh dear what a situation. How do you feel about the pregnancy?
Have you any idea as to what you are going to do?
Have you any RL friends/family you can confide in for some support?Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -

Now.. other than the usual apprehension, I'm ok with it.. I didn't think I would be but hey, there are worse things.. I can't see what difference one more will make tbh.. though financially I do not think I can have OH not working still in good conscience, however, given I couldn't walk to do school runs due to spd the last 2 I think it may have to wait a few months sadly.. (the bonus of getting him out from under my feet is also appealing)
I'll wait for him to notice/ask.. I have decided he will be told after booking on the 26th if he hasn't sussed by then.. I can come up with a whole list of reasoning then.
And no.. My family are not the sympathetic sort.. and my friends don't live nearby or are very busy 1-child sorts.. and my 1 other friend will just laugh at me lol.. she is good like that. I may drag her out for lunch next week while OH is out with Squeak.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Maybe your OH will surprise you? (I am never ceased to be amazed at how surprising men can be..lol!)
Failing that, I can come round and hold him down whilst you kick him if you like?
