All is well :j

Thank you so much for being concerned, we've only just got home, had to wait aaaages for my blood test results.

Baby is all well. Downs risk has gone from 1 in 85 (based on my age) to i in 1600 on my nuchal/bloods, so very happy.

New EDD is 22/8 I have been bumped forward by 3 days.

And the most exciting bit for me is they are 70% sure it's a GIRL!!!!! Their scanners are state of the art apparently (big London training hospital), and she is basing it on the bladder. I'm not going to rush out and buy pink or anything, but I am so happy. A boy and girl!

I am so glad it's over...the sigh of relief was audible from the waiting room!

Congrats miffy - great how you're suddenly four weeks along when you first find out isn't it. Even though four weeks ago nothing actually existed! I have a DS about to be 2 too, so we will have the same age gap between our kids! I am hoping by the time I am big and bumpy he will just about be able to understand what's going on - I've bought a great book for him about a little boy who's mummy is having a new baby. Its a bit soon to start reading it yet but I couldn't resist!

Girls have round bladders and boys are triangular.. clearly visible when full..

Congrats mv, I've been stalking this thread all day, fab news! Good luck courgette for 2 days time! Pp, i wish i had known that about the bladder, my hospital don't tell you babys sex at 20wk scan so couldn't find out last week..

Wonderful news MV!

My boobs are killing me. I went swimming last night and they were nearly hanging out of my cossie! I don't want to buy any maternity stuff because I'm scared of jinxing myself, but at this rate I might have to.
OH told his mum at the weekend, and she's very happy. Still haven't spoken to mine - she's not been in when I phoned. I'm not telling anyone at work until first scan, and then I'll have to due to the nature of my job.

I keep googling buggies and prams. Someone stop me!
