bigbird - is you dont mind me asking, did you have any symptoms before you started bleeding? if you did how long was it before they disappeared?

Hi Trina. My symptoms disappeared both times I had bleeding - all I really had by that point was sore boobs and a bit of nausea. This last time, my symptoms had gone by the time the bleeding stopped after 5 days. I don't remember exactly with DS (it was 2 1/2 years ago), but I remember the midwife told me not to worry as long as I still had my symptoms, but they'd gone by the time I got to my early scan (had to wait til the following week). So I guess it's a good sign if you still have pregnancy symptoms, but not necessarily a bad sign if you don't.

Both times the bleeding was accompanied by cramping. Very similar circumstances, but very different outcomes. Bleeding is apparently very common though, so hopefully all will be OK for you.

Will your EPU see you when you're a bit further on?

I have pains in my stomach this evening. I'm not sure if it's cramping, but it's up near my belly button so probably more likely related to the fact that my digestive system seems to have gone on strike :o

I have another day off tomorrow as the childminder is still ill. I need to think of something fun to do to make the most of it. Though the weather looks a bit pants, so I suspect some form of baking with DS will be on the cards.

thank you for that :) ive only really had sore chest so far and very mild cramps, theyre still here at the minute.

ive to keep in touch with them, if the bleeding keeps going ill do a test in a few days time and see what it says and decide from there if i go in to EPU or just wait and see what happens.

thank you all for the support :) xxx

Tinks - lovely to hear you and bean are doing fine! Lovely to hear! :T

Trina - I have my fingers crossed that everything is ok.

My 13 hour day yesterday at work turned into a 14 hour day and I felt absolutely terrible, bloated and knackered - but its so difficult when you can't tell anyone - you just have to put on a brave face.

Lovely to hear about everyone new. My cramps seemed to have gone today but I'm not looking forward to the sickness bit - I am totally scared of sick!

I had a strange thing happen today - went to Tescos today and the till spit gave me a coupon for 6 free cans of non-alcoholic beer!!!! :rotfl:(I wonder if its because I bought some "trying to get pg" vitamins from them about a month ago??!!)

Hi all, just had a read through last few pages and would like to join your club! Got a positive on Saturday after about 8 months trying and visited GP today which made it feel a bit more real! My periods have been irregular 5-8 weeks so due date is anything mid-may to mid-June next year! I'm waiting for a call for a dating scan before the 12 week scan to try and narrow it down. This is our first pregnancy.
Been feeling quite well, a bit tired, and had one quite queasy day and my appetite is down generally, otherwise just an occasional tummy cramp.
Planning to keep totally quiet til 12 weeks if we can. If we tell parents, it wont be long til my sister in law knows, and she will tell the world (she's special needs and lovely, but cannot keep a secret!). However my sister already guessed when I turned down bubbly at a family do last weekend so it's going to be hard to stop others guessing too, I'm sure! Because of the secrecy will be nice to check in with you lot! All the best to everyone xx

  • Welcome fran-o and congratulations :D it is tough when nobody knows eh, i think pregnancy is a bit like an oxymoron, everything changes and you're so full of excitement and hormones and symptoms and you have to keep it all a secret. It's total madness!

Ilovedida, sounds like a long day, hope its better today - at least its friday :)

Tinks and Trina, hope you're both feeling better - thinking of you both.

I was so sick yesterday thought i was going to have to go back to the hospital but today has been better so far and I've eaten some dry coco pops which has made me feel a million times better - who knew!
  • morning all,

welcome fran, i hope your stay is happy and stress free :)

so far, still bleeding, still not sign of any clots currently, still got a sore chest, even more sore if thats possible! i poked myself and it hurt like heck!
bleeding seems to have lightened slightly (keeping everything crossed)
maybe ill be lucky, maybe i wont, only time will tell :) just trying to hold on to 6 weeks and try to get scanned.

Oh tinks I'm so sorry to hear that :( Is there anybody who could come and look after DD2 so you can get to A & E, or could DH come home from work or something? I'm hoping and hoping that the bean is hanging on in there, sending you lots of love at such a worrying time.
